I want to see this guy, I've given his book to three other people who read it in one sitting and Red Beard said he was great the time he saw him.

Heard Lance Burdett recently - police negotiator. Good talk, engaging. Seemed largely credible, but had some occasional lapse into gym trainer 'I've got big words but a simplistic understanding of them'. Still worth a listen if you get a chacne.
Will be hearing Kevin Biggar later this year. He's meant to be excellent.

@nzzp Biggar would be at the top of my list of people to hear speak , very funny smart guy.
Mrs Jegga has booked Te Radar speak at work a couple of times , not so much inspirational more funny and entertaining. My favourite tale of his was when he was on intrepid journeys and his father told him not to be a whining celeb when things got tough. So when a scorpion crawled up his pants and stung him he did flinch as he says " I'm from Hamilton so I'm quite used to burning sensations in my groin".

Went to an event last night and Kevin Biggar was the speaker, can confirm he is excellent, as I expect you can, albeit 6 years later

@taniwharugby I know Quincey quite well actually. Have never heard him doing any public speaking.
We also used to have Dr Tom do a lot of stuff through work. Has a some amazing and eye opening stories.

Recently had the pleasure of listening to Mark Mathews speak, telling his story from big wave riding and getting on the red bull team and then adversity.
The way he speaks, telling us how he hates public speaking to his story, saw a bit of a dust storm rise up in the building we were in, made more impactful as I didn't know his story (hadn't googled him when i heard he was to speak)
I spoke to the MC after and he said Mark was terrified before he went on stage, yet when he was up there he looks as comfortable as anything.
We also had Ben Hamer a futurist speak, wasn't sure what to expect from him, but whatever I expected, he exceeded it, fascinating stuff, and he paints the picture more from the positive than the negative we see so often in the media.
