The stupidest thing was how when the ABs got the penalty around Min 75 or so, right in front of the sticks 10m out, after dominating the scrum ever since the bench came on, they quick tapped. It worked out with the Telea try, but how stupid was that? Get the scrum, win the advantage and in addition have far more space for your backline players. So tucking stupid, I shouted at my illegal stream

Wasn’t that a free kick? If so, not much option. See also Englands garryowen.

Pretty sure it was a full penalty.
And I too was bellowing for a scrum.

That England bomb was awesome and went fucking close to working. ABs very lucky

    @mariner4life

If it was a full PK that was a dumb decision that late in the game.

    Free kick!

(Caveat : I had had a few wines at that stage)

Sititi does appear to be the real thing.

I’m not quite so sure about the coaches, however hats off for selecting him.

Yeah, against all odds really. Gardner and co. decided to go full "hometown". The crowd wanted blood, the lads with a bit of lady luck would have put 15 points on them but the bitch decided to disappear for the full 80. Even so the good guys won.
Having said that, if the lads don't improve against the whingy Green siths, things might come unstuck.

I need to find a woman who loves me as much as Beauden Barrett loves kicking the ball away.

F#%k I hate the Irish rugby team, they repulse my Irish DNA with their soccer antics, their rugby culture which seems to be a dramatic victim whingefest, and ........ the high priests of victimhood, O'Driscoll and Sexton used to play for them. POM currently plays but at least he is funny and can walk the talk..

    @Old-Samurai-Jack
Losing this game would have made for a dour tour.
Guaranteed drama for the next one.
I'm going to Paris the next game. Some great players there.
Really hope they ditch the aimless kicking, concentrate, reduce errors.
Give Proctor and Lakai a run.
Management have been so conservative this year

Ruben Love can’t be far away from the 23 shirt.

    Can cover 10,FB, wing

He looks the goods everytime I see him. Touches of class.

Thought AJ Lam showed some nice touches at centre for the XV.

Admittedly at a lower level than test footy, but he was carrying the ball in two hands, and sold the Munster defender with a nice dummy to put us in for a try.

He showed subtle touches that I don’t see from Rieko anyway.

If Rieko wasn’t fast he would be bang average.

Where as Conrad smith was walking in porridge but could still put you into space.

Smoking Joe Roks woukdnt score outside Rieko.

The problem with this whole "Reiko never puts anyone in to space" argument is that he is also never given the ball with any sort of time.

He was given it today once I can remember and he immediately gave it to Sititi, backed up and hit the ruck (we lost the ball because the rest of.pur loose forwards were again MIA).

If he was hungasing the ball and constantly blowing overlaps this argument would hold a lot more water. But he gets shit ball too because our pattern is both midfielders playing narrow flat and straight

Another poster alluded to it earlier that he seems to be getting the ball and tackled
at the same time. Everything is crash bash.

You are right, for whatever reason he never seems to get the ball in space.

I remember when Tupea gave it to him early against France in 2022 and he gassed them from 60 meters.

We just don’t see it enough.

    Watched some more highlights.

Shit a brick it is impressive how brilliantly Wallace Sititi has taken to test Rugby.

    Hoskins who ?

Hoskins speed off the base of the scrum is something we could really use.

Don't ever compare the Mics to the Sith. We maybe a bit dark and misunderstood but we're anything but whingy. Now Luke for that matter...

Didn’t realise Beauden failed the HIA. So take back what I said about it being a Rassie-inspired move. Have to re-watch to see when it happened. Unless of course…
