    Teams for the first match:

New Zealand: Latham, Guptill, Williamson (c), Taylor, Broom, Munro, Neesham, Santner, Southee, Ferguson, Boult
Australia: Finch (c), Head, S Marsh, Handscomb (wk), Maxwell, Stoinis, Heazlett, Faulkner, Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood

Wade out injured for this one, as well - joining Smith, Warner and Khawaja on the sidelines.

We should really be favourites for this series, with probably the three best Australian batsmen out. Dependent on us batting well and stopping Starc and Hazlewood especially destroying our batting.

Yeah - I probably would have picked CdGh to give a slightly better bowling line-up, but Munro makes for a slightly better batting line-up.

Would be good if we can get a few overs out of Little Kane.

Shit the bed that's a really good NZ line up. Batsmen for africa and heaps of bowling options. Latham obviously filling the Gilly role? Can see Neesham being a bit of a 'floater' in that line up, might come in at 5 depending on the situation.

    Carn the boys!!!!

Bugger - Little Kane goes and it's the end of a very promising partnership.

    87/2 after 14 - going at 6.2

Time for a few overs of consolidation while Rossco beds himself in (hopefully).

It will be interesting to see if Finch gives Maxwell a bowl today. Head gets the shot ahead of him again.

Well that was inevitable. So much talent, but so fragile.

pressure piling on Rossco, he'll get himself out shortly with something dumb, it's inevitable

MOTHERFUCKER!!! As i type, i swear to god Rossco

And that opens up our extended order of players who average in the 20s. Awesome

At least their keeper is not up to standard

In hindsight I might have picked de Grandhomme over Ferguson. We might well need the batting depth, and I'm yet to be convinced that Ferguson is anything more than very fast and cannon fodder for decent batsmen*.

(* Buying some insurance of a reverse jinx early... looks like we may need one later)

Fuck it - and now Guppy goes and our promising start has turned into a fuck up.

    130/4 after 23.4

Need these guys to bat through to the 40th over.

Choice of Munro over CdGh currently looking like a good one!

I would rather have Neesham ahead of Munro. Crucial partnership here. It's a bit frustrating - we seem to get out to the Australian part timers a lot.

Or just bad balls with bad shot selection.
