EOYT 2017

@Davesofthunder said in EOYT 2017:
I bought tickets for the barbarians gane yesterday.
Bit pricey (£245 for me, the wife and a 3 year old!) But the All Blacks come so rarely to Twickenham nowadays I wasn't going to miss it.
Might head up to Scotland for that match too.
@Davesofthunder where did you get tickets from? Club allocation? I don't think they ever came up for sale on the Baabaas site.
-
Nah, decided if I go to this I need 4 tickets for the household and I'm too stingy to shell out that much. (Cheapest I can get for 4 people are £90 each)
Will take my chances on getting tickets for Murrayfield as I have always wanted to see an AB match there. Good opportunity to make a weekend of it and see old haunts in Edinburgh. -
Being a sad lonely fluffybunny, I was quite willing to pay up a ton for a single ticket in row 4.
Although I'm also tempted by Murrayfield.Yeah, if I could get away with going by myself I would be buying one of those as well.
If I went the wife would want to go, then the son, then the son's girlfriend couldn't be left at home. I'd be lucky they don't sell tickets for the dogs as well or I'd have to shell out for those.
At least with Edinburgh I can spent that money on something I will like, a nice hotel, some late night whisky tasting, a haggis supper...... -
Yep, it gets expensive real fast.
My wife is keen but she also knows she is my insurance if the 3 year old gets bored as she will be able to entertain/remove him.
We also live about 10 minutes walk from twickenham so no other costs which helps.
The wee man has been keen to go to a game for ages so will be good to get him in there.
I did make sure his first match was kiwi by watching the Black ferns beat England at the stoop last year.

Very early thread for sure but it seems the All Blacks would play a second test against France on 14 November : that is four days after the first test.
This will be a huge opportunity to test a bunch of new players. I guess the touring party will include 36 to 38 players rather than the usual 32 or 33.The midweek match they're trying to organise is supposed to be v a French club, not a test.
-
Not against a French club but a second test match.

Hmm, Tew has said in the NZ media in April that another, mid-week test against France won't happen, and that they are looking at playing other teams "in a softer environment" (interpreted by the media as a Top 14 team).
Lots of speculation about this in the French media though.

This post is dating back from early April while Rugbyrama is from 8 May.
Here are two other extracts from Newspapers which are very affirmative on the subject. -

Im postive the French site have it wrong. If it's not v a French club then it will be v French Barbarians.

Here is another extract from Rugby365.com, a South African site.
NEWS: France will kick off their November Test campaign against the All Blacks at the Stade de France on November 11, the French rugby federation announced on Tuesday.
The meeting with the world champions will be followed by hosting a first test against Japan since 1973 in Lille on November 25.
Sandwiched between those two outings is a date with South Africa, at the Stade de France, on November 18.
France are also scheduling a second run out against the All Blacks on November 14, with Marseille's Stade Velodrome the likely venue.
Guy Noves' France travel to South Africa in June for three Tests against the Springboks.

Anyone who thinks Les Bleus and the All Blacks will back up and play again in three days needs their head examined.

All Blacks to play a game in Japan in 2018.
Very pleased about this. Was getting a little worried about our lack of experience in the country if the 2019 hosts.
Not many players still around since our 2013 visit. A few Moari All Blacks like NMS and Codie Taylor played there.
No NZ super rugby team have played in Japan yet?
