I have had something lock me in a room, from the side I was on when I was only one in the room more than once (in an old school house that has since been demolished) and have also seen a UFO...the former, has happened to other people, the latter, me and 3 mates saw it, and we were all sober...we all tried to explain each away, with no real plausible answers (although I find it easier to believe in UFO's than the former....)

@taniwharugby I also had the former and more than once! One particular time I remember was at a gay bar in palmy back in my uni days. I was just a small town lad new to the big city of Palmy North. I went into town with some girls who wanted to go to the gay bar to dance, well being the super progressive lefty hippy I was I figured this would be the perfect chance to show off my liberalness and no doubt impress one of these lasses to bed (spoiler: virginity remained for a good couple more years..). Anyway we were in this bar and I was quietly freaking out having had zero interaction with the gay world up to this point. After a few beers it became time to venture to the bathrooms, fortunately a male mate of equal awkwardness also had to go so we figured we'd be safer as a pair.

We walked in and headed to the urinal trying to be cool calm and collected, got as far as washing our hands when the worlds campest man walks in puts his arms around us an asks us 'how are you two sweet things?'. Our coolness left in a hurry. We stuttered something like "ah good thanks...how are you?" as we made a break for the exit. In panic I grabbed the the door handle and pulled but it wouldn't budge! My mate tried the same, no success! "Oh my god, what strange gay voodoo was this!?" It was at this point the camp man with a huge smile on his face pointed to the door that wasn't actually the cleaners cupboard and said "I think that's the one you're after guys"..Actually thinking about it, every time I have found myself locked in a room it has involved multiple beers.

So tell us more of this UFO experience

@Virgil @No-Quarter Both my kids are adamant our house is haunted and both claim to have see "the Ghost" several times. They separately describe something similar to each other but of course I would not rule out previous collusion. I've seen fuck all and don't give this sort of thing much credence. However I do not like going into my office building during the night or at weekends due to creepiness. It is converted from a Victorian city hospital. Our offices are in the last chance saloon ward, next to the morgue.

The barristers out the back are in the old STD clinic

I have no doubt both your house and your work are haunted. So many old buildings with shady pasts in England...

Without doubt. A Kiwi friend of mine that had lived in Exeter for over twenty years, went back to NZ and met and married some poor bloke. They came over to visit and I took him on a pub crawl. I showed him the skeleton of a Roman soldier (apparently) which had been found in the foundations of an old pub and had been on display for about 50 years. He found this very weird. What I found strange was that she had never heard of it despite living in the city for so long - he saw it before she did!

See, we are clever in NZ. If a building is likely to have spookies we just burn it down.

    Isn't that right Mr Bain?

I went to a seminar about this kind of thing once and the lecturer asked if anyone had ever seen a ghost, a couple of people put up their hands . He asked how close they got and one of them said he actually touched it, the lecturer asked him where he touched it and he said "all over I had sex with it". The lecturer was astounded and called the guy up the front to tell the gathering about sex with a ghost, unfortunately they guy said "ghost? I thought you said goat".

A guy you know well? Did he ever tell stories about having breakfast with All Blacks too?

Stop projecting. Did you keep in touch with it afterwards?
