The Brumbies guy?
Glen Fisi’iahi
Good to see that guy is still alive. Hopefully he actually makes the field.
-
anyone else think the Counties reserve backs are a hell of a lot better than their starting backline?

The line-up is for the 40 minutes against Taranaki. The coach is going to use all players, so I assume most of the reserves in the Naki game may be the starters against the ABs?
Edit: well not most, but I assume there will be a different line-up for the AB game.
-
Is this game being streamed for overseas viewers? Can't see it on foxtel.
-
@chimoaus It's not even on tv in NZ and I haven't heard it will be streamed via the Team All Blacks website. I hope it will be, but not holding my breath. NZ is seriously backward as it comes to livestreaming (rugby) games that aren't televised.
-
@Stargazer Thanks for that, would have liked to watch it after work.
-
pretty sure last year there was a few of the tries on the news, but that was about it.
Have to assume the AB analysts are recording it, so unsure why they cant stream it!
-
Is there any radio coverage of tonight's game?

Good question. I'll try Radio Sport.

Counties Manukau 28 - 7 Taranaki
Counties tries: Jdu Nabura, Augustine Pulu, Sam Furness, Ronald Raaymakers; con Baden Kerr (3x), Luteru Laulala
Taranaki: penalty try -
52-7, can't keep up
-
57-7 at the end of 40
9 tries to 1

Would have been cool had Taranaki picked Blake Barrett to go up against his brothers. Apparently a very good player but very much on the small side for a loose forward.
-
@Rugger-Quizzes Yeah, would have been awesome for the Barrett family, too. Although, only Beauden will be playing with Jordie out injured and Scott being rested.

Third game:
All Blacks 49 - 0 Counties Manukau
All Blacks tries: Sam Cane (2x), Ofa Tu'ungafasi, Lima Sopoaga, Nathan Harris, TKB, Rieko Ioane; con Lima Sopoaga (3 from 3), Damian McKenzie (4 from 4)
Counties: -
DMac played on the wing at the time that Sops scored his try.
-
Gotta love the cunning plan of having no numbers so that any potential citing becomes difficult to prove. Should have had them in balaclavas as well.

This seems to be the Crusaders-All Blacks role today:
WTF has happened to Steely Dan? Looks like some kind of bobblehead.

Can mascots develop downs syndrome late in life?

I don't know but he has gone from looking reasonably cool to looking like James Parsons in an after match interview.
-
@Crucial Look up what the original Steely Dan was (clue: not the rock band).

Ha! well I guess the mascot is at least looking more like the original then
-
@Crucial So true.
-
Talking about mascots ...
-
Why is the Manawatu mascot a spaz modelled on Lockwood Smith?
-
That really was a perfect microcosm of a party at the rugby club rooms.
Uncomfortable "dancing"/shuffling by most of the guys; one little shit trying to give it the hip-hop treatment; bad singing-along to the Exponents, and a bit of aggro.
