every game on regular telly in japan. even late 1st round when they'll have 4 matches a day with 2 kicking off simultaneously, presumably to prevent the Germans from trying to kick shit off with the Poles again.
into routine now:
9pm game: Yes
midnight game: like fuck
3 am game: miss first 20 mins but watch the rest. The sun's up at 4 so no real biggie
2 pm conk outlater 1st round when its 11 pm and 3 am are going to be a bastard, watch 11 pm game half nodding off til 1 am then youre in the undead zone, no fucken way i'm staying awake til 3 am and if I nod off now i'll wake up at 7am having dozed thru one game and completely missed the other

I'm on holiday in Europe at present. Every match in full plus highlights. Of course the commentary is in Serbo-Croat, so if they are giving the players heights I wouldn't know.
But I only watch the games with half an eye to see what the fuss was about.
The simulation drives me crazy -- bumps that wouldn't cause a rugby player to break stride cause football players to go down as if shot. I won't really enjoy the game until they start carding for diving on a regular basis.

@chester-draws the players that get bumped in one place then grab another are the funniest. The refs should book for simulation. It would clean things up really fast

I'm hoping with the penalty review system there will be less diving in the box anyway. Still bitter about the dive in the box that gave the Italians the equaliser against the All Whites all those years ago. Cheating fucks.

I agree! I thought that first half was remarkably un-England like. Plenty of shots on target. A bit ropey the second half but held it together to seal the deal.

If they do finish second and Germany likewise it means they face Mexico or Switzerland in the QF (if they get past Colombia) All three of those teams are beatable.
Whereas if they come out top of their group it is likely they face the winner of Brazil/Germany.
Basically I always saw the QF's as being England's best possible finish given the likely calibre of the other 7 teams. However results so far might give them a chance of going deep in the tourney.
Caveat - Mexico 1-0 Switzerland 1-1.....

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. They need a win against Panama next up, so that they go into the Belgium match all but assured of going through. If Tunisia get a jammy win vs Belgium or England get a point or worse I wouldn't like to see them under pressure
