Watching the first T20 and there are 8 players from one association. NZ record?

For a T20 probably, if you went through all the early 1990s ODI scorecards there is probably a game or two with more Cantabs.

edit: I'll take that back almost all this 1998 tour we had 7 Cantabs plus Wiseman who would shortly be one. Germon had only just given up the gloves a series earlier too.

There could be an early 90's Auckland team that got 7 in the test team with after Parore got the gloves, pretty often they had the three specialist quicks (Morrison/Watson/Su'a/Pringle) plus Patel and one of the openers (Wright then Pocock).

@rotated It was an outrage that Geoff Allott wasn't playing! 🙂

ND have a rediculous number of current Black Caps on their roster, and even crazier if you throw in the former Black Caps too.

              Williamson
              Watling
              Seifert
              Mitchell
              de Grandhomme
              Santner
              Sodhi
              Kuggelijn
              Southee
              Boult
              Wagner

              Devcich
              Flynn
              Brownlie
              Anderson

              I’m probably missing someone too...

Neesham is probably due for a run in pink in the near future too as he does his rounds.

              .

What's up with the player migration to nd?
                      Better: money, coaching, facilities?

Less spots to get a game though

They all want to live in Tauranga/Mt Manganui.

Makes sense as they’ll all be home more often with the Bay Oval fast becoming the Twickenham of NZ Cricket.

There is also a High Performance Centre / Academy by the entrance to Bay Oval. Not everyone keen on the beach though. Ross Taylor went to Hamilton...
