That's interesting seeing George Bower come straight in to start for Joe Moody.

I can't say I know anything at all about Bower, but I'm nonetheless pleased. I was sceptical that Joe would be available to play this weekend and I was pretty concerned if Harry Allan was starting with the other Tuúngafasi and Jager on the bench.

I was wondering why we weren't recruiting Donald Brighouse, who did a good job of holding up the scrums last year, which is basically all that we need from these recruits.

@Chris-B Brighouse apparently was in bad shape fitness wise when they were looking for a Perry Replacement so they went for Bower who is 120kg.
    Bad news about Jordan.

At oranges Saders started slowly, allowing Kolisi through untouched for the try in the first minute, but have gradually settled into their work and take a 10-12 lead into the break. Scrum going better than I thought, Bower pinged a couple of times, but has managed to weather the storm - ahem!
Would like to see Reece more involved, and in the last couple of weeks I have been more impressed with how Crotty contrlos, balances and steadies the backline. He takes a lot of pressure off the first receiver providing another option, allowing Richie to do his thing.

How awful was the officiating in the last 15 minutes? No way that pass from Ennor was forward. Try shouldn't have been disallowed. Then a forward pass from the Stormers' halfback not spotted. And then another undeserved penalty to the Stormers. Geez, esp the South African officials are so biased.

That draw should have been a win for the Crusaders. Geez.

I just can't believe that try was disallowed. It was so obvious that that pass went backwards. It shouldn't even have gone to the TMO. It's always the same thing in South Africa.

    @Stargazer Rigged - most certainly.
@Rebound SA audience worth it? Probably. At least NZ & what is the left of the burning embers of Aus rugby think so too.
But hey, this is not a new concept. We've lived with playing conditions like this in SA for ever. Well as long as I can remember anyhow.
We just have to be a lot better than they are. A lot.

Unfortunately, not the other officials. vd Westhuizen and Jonker are definitely a recipe for disaster to any non-SA team visiting the Republic.

Haven't read the thread but I'm guessing according to everyone here the ref is to blame for the draw.

Crusaders seem to be struggling a bit against the SA sides this year.

FFS. Compelling evidence that pass went back out of hands. Why are SA TMOs always so bent?

Ennor is a star in the making IMHO.

There’s even a frigging demo video on world rugby website showing a pass usually goes forward even though passed backward.

Don’t think it matters in the grand scheme of things but that TMO should be stood down.

I thought the new TMO protocols were put in place to stop the TMO calling the shots?
He said “I want you to check” to the ref then proceeded to tell him what to do.

Staggering that a WC ref official could misinterpret a pass like that.

His farken employer made a video showing why you can't always trust the lines marked on the field ffs.

That's not good enough officiating, needs to be fixed

Thank Fu-k The Crusaders are out of SA now quite fortunate to have secured a Bonus point win and a Draw due to the SA officials blatant Hometown decisions not just Jonker but Van der Westhuizen who pinged the Crusaders 4 times for being offside and apparently the Stormers were never offside. And he over ruled Berry on a collapsed maul getting the Stormers a penalty.
Even the last penalty by Berry was dubious.
The Penalty count against The Highlanders in the game before with SA officials was horrendous .
I Pity The Hurricanes still having to play 2 games there and the Landers 1 more.

Just saw the highlights of this game. If Super Rugby is to be taken seriously as a competition they need to reintroduce neutral refs (including the TMO).

Pass was backwards out of the hands, so not a forward pass.

    Crusaders robbed IMO.
