    I want Ireland to win for no other reason than I think the scots will give us less problems in the quarter ,

    But any other day I would be saying go Scotland

    Nah fug that, I'd love us to paste Ireland in a quarter.

    I have a theory the more tough games you play in consecutive weeks , the closer you get to a poor performance, an easy quarter will be a blessing I reckon .

    Ummm... Easy?

    Easier , Scotland are more likely to accomodate us in an open game style

    Scotland in a QF will be easy. They look terrible

    Yup even playing their best, their style suits us

    Ooh look at all the lovely space out wide

    Better pass and that was 2 on 1 canter in for a try.

    Or kick pass...

    However there was no Chase at all from Scotland so they were very very lucky

    Doesn’t matter what matters is us holding up the Gold Cup at the end of this WC then they can stick their stupid rankings system.

    @Chris

    On the downside for Ireland, , if this game becomes an easy win, they could go into the knockout stages without being seriously tested.

    I think Scotland are looking pretty solid. With a bit of luck, they could go quite deep in the Mitre 10 Cup

    Scotland are just so passive. They are handing the advantage to Ireland.

    Spot on. our draw is actually pretty good - a hard game first up, and then build to Italy before heading into the quarters.

    It's frustrating too. Standing around in defence, allowing Ireland to play.

    There's some potential there, some good running and passing and kicking, but in between that it's pretty average
