Sharks vs Stormers is going to be massive.

Blues grounded the Stormers while the Sharks is the inform team.

Sharks play a really entertaining style. Hopefully a good crowd shows up.

Sharks have been good but I'm expecting a Stormers backlash. They had a shocker against the Blues and haven't played since. They've had two weeks to prepare for this one.

The Stormers miss three players with PSdT injury.

What can you tell us about Ernst van Rhyn OomPB. He impressed me when he came on against my Blues the other week. I am pleased he's got a start this week.

@Daffy-Jaffy I know Ernst family very well. He was one year ahead of my son at Prymary school (Klein Gim).

He is very much the same as PsdT flanker / lock and have strong leadership qualities. Was head boy of Paarl Gym.

Rugby is running deep in the family, his twin boeties played each other in Varsity Cup young guns competition. Both are locks for Maties (uni Stellenbosch) and Ikeys (Cape Town).

That must be the quickest yellow card in SR or rugby, generally. What was it, 12 seconds or 21 seconds? With another ref, it could have been red (the TMO tried).

The first 35 minutes of this game were good. Now, it's just messy and full of errors.

Great try from the Stormers' reserve halfback! Nice flat pass from the fullback, leading to the break from the no. 8, who passed the ball to the halfback.

    FT: Sharks 24 - 14 Stormers

Sharks go to the top of the table, but with one more game played.

I just can't see how that's not a red card. Tackled while he's in the air, lands on his upper back.

Lands very dangerously as well, with the head whipping into the ground. Even the action of the tackle is so far away from being legal that it isn't funny.
That will certainly be upgraded by the citing officer and the ref will get a black mark (I would hope).
I thought that, as per the high tackle rulings, if the offending player was 'never legal' then mitigation goes out the window.

did the guy in the air get cited for kneeing him in the head?

Pretty much no mans land there though...for wahetever reason he looked like he decided he wasnt going to air to contest it, which means he should be thinking about being able to bail, which he clearly wasnt.

    RC all day unfortunately.

He looked like he made a deliberate decision to tackle but was really screwed on his timing. Brain fart.

Red card in my books, but he did it out of stupidity, nothing else. I was upset because I wanted Louis Schreuder to play the whole game. The better 9 was on the bench.

Thought the Stormers played much better then against the Blues. The defense was back to normal and Trokkie (Trokkie is afrikaans for truck) (nr8) had a massive game. Now we understand why Notshe moved to the Sharks.
