@JK Also, rotorua looks awesome ,
havent been there yet, trails looks so good on you tube , lots of aussie riders make the trip over there to ride there
Reckon we might do a family trip down there in a month or so time. Will have to stick the bike on the back!
Had a whole lot of rain here this weekend so woodhill should be humming next weekend. Was getting a bit too dry and sandy when i went a couple of weeks back

10km run today. First for ages. Tried to keep around 5min/km as its a very manageable pace. Felt like I could have run all day at that pace but only really had a bit less than hour to kill while daughter was at dancing.
Also, how good are the strava flybys?? Crossed paths with a hottie today and now know who she is, when she usually runs etc. It's an absolute stalkers dream!

Giving my legs a break from running so have been skipping instead. Intuitively that may not make much sense, but all the pain I had when running / walking / stairs / getting out of bed post the marathon is gone now.
Do around 20-25 mins a day which is around 3000 skips, plus a bunch of other body resistance things. Packing in probably around 200 ab exercises & 50-60 press ups amongst other things.
Feeling pretty good right now. However, the 16 week run into the rescheduled London marathon starts end of next week, so I guess I 'll have to start running again. Fingers crossed for no injury as we repeat it again. I suspect it will get canned though, hopefully they will give us access to next years race if so.

Have managed a few gym workouts now. Aside from constantly forgetting my water bottle it's been great! weights are still feeling farking heavy but the body is feeling good. Not really able to train with my gym bro given different work schedules (+ kids) so that has been a bit stink. But there are upsides to being able to do your own stuff!
Back on OHS today - want to get up to sets at 60kg or so. But will do a bit more shoulder and back warm up today to give myself a chance.

Back in the pool today for the first time in ages. Watch says I did 3km in 33mins - yes!!!
Unfortunately I had forgotten to change the pool distance setting from 50m to 25m...
When I realised this after about 400m it was like an underwater kick to the nuts.

I went for a run last night, cruising at about 5.30 per/km and then I realised I really fucking hate road (path) running, and walked the rest of the 5km loop.

Think the 25m pool actually helps me as pushing off the wall twice as often is way faster than my pathetically weak stroke

@voodoo haha I know right, am usually a bit more motivated...TR Jnr's TKD has had a location change, and while it is too dark to to my normal trail run (of which I have to walk part anyway cos steps) I just wasnt feeling it, which was odd given this 5km run is about as flat as I am gonna get round Whangarei!
