I've been quietly going about my business
this, right here, is how you win. Slow and steady.
Now if only i didn't enjoy beer and food so much ...
I haven't cut back on the beer as I didn't want to walk round feeling as though my throat had been cut. Basically I just cut out all junk food and cooked/prepared every meal I ate.
It's only a start as I really should be between 100 and 110 so a looooooong way to go but I feel much better for it.

I've had to. Pretty strict about no drinking during the week. The first year I had beer on tap in my house, I put on 10kg. Don't regret it for one moment, but fark, it can do some damage.
Also, brewing is
a greatthe best hobby. -

a greatthe best hobby. My mate did that and the exact same thing and he started worrying about how much he was drinking each day. That was enough to convince me not to start as I would be hopeless! It's so easy to grab beers and walk over the farm to feed up. I have cut those out but I haven't cut back on days when I want a beer like after golf or if I go out.

@Hooroo great stuff bro! you'll only improve as you build strength and get that form locked in. High rep work is a good thing to focus on early in the piece, then start to mix it up with heavier stuff.
The payoff once you've added more muscle is it burns even more fuel!! The trick is to not over indulge in kai even though you'll feel more hungry if you can keep your eating tidy-ish on top of weight training (and the dreaded cardio) you'll be killing it mate! -

I have only been doing the PT sessions each week (twice a week) so need to get there in between those sessions to further the results. Not really looking at strength, her goal with me is to improve my golf so all the exercises and cardio are based around that. When I first went to her, I was on a 20 handicap and thinking of giving up the game and now I'm back down to an 11.

@Hooroo ha ha strength will come anyway with what she's got you doing! Getting stronger (not necessarily bulkier) will no doubt help your golf . Especially core and back stuff.
And resistance with bands and stuff!
One thing she does is puts a band under the seat and onto the bench press bar so when I am benching this damn band resisting. It really is quite good for control.
I'm all about technique over weight though as the last thing I want to do is injure myself

Yeah we're lining up for a dry weekend this weekend. Time to knock the copious amounts of booze on the head to get us over the hill against the belly and handles.
Gonna stock up on zero alcohol cider and beer (saw a milk stout I'm keen to try) so it probably won't work.

This post makes about zero sense and strikes me as a tool to introduce the word honey.

Why are people in NZ still posting on this thread ...
Taking off my first week off active fitness since Sep last year. As Sunday will be 16 weeks to the rescheduled London marathon (Which I expect will be cancelled) so I need to start building towards it again. Can't wait!

Make sure to check the calories on the zero-alcohol. Some of it is still ridiculously high.
This is probably my favourite, but it's still got a few cal's.
