Not too confident in how the other CKB boys will go. Could easily be 0-3

    Betfair has them winning one

I think Hooker has more of a chance than that and I'd have Adesanya as a warmer favourite. But I am only picking the one win

    Hope I'm wrong

Pretty consistent with my thinking (also hope I'm wrong). Hooker will give it his all, prob take the dude further than expected but end up losing. I think Izy DDP odds are about right. Its close!

No see Kai Kara yet. Erceg was awesome in that Pantoja fight, wasn't there some bad call in his corner which potentially cost him the win. From memory his corner had said he was behind in rounds and needed the finish when they were actually tied?

    @Rembrandt

At this stage they are both a similar level. Erceg has gotten there very quickly though.. I'm assuming he has a higher ceiling

In KKF's favour he has more power. But that might not be a factor given well Erceg took shots from Pantoja

Surprised at the crowd being so against DDP at the press conference and the weigh ins.

Yeah it was weird alright. Adesanya is just so awful on the mic, he is a hard person to support if you watch anything more than the fights. Dricus is smashing him outside of the cage so far

Funnily enough the press conference highlights cut out a lot of the highlights

But not that wrong. I picked all 3 ckb fights wrong. Izzy looked good though

As usual the pre fight chat form both sides is forgotten. It really does seem to mean more to some fans. It’s why I don’t follow it.

KKF caught Erceg. Hopefully he gets a title shot now

So happy for Hooker. My favourite NZ sportsman. He was given almost no chance. Forced the fight to go in the direction he wanted.. great fight.

Izzy might learn a bit more humility after that ( I didn’t see it, just caught the headlines on stuff )

His antics make him a very hard guy to like and support at times.

Sounds like a rematch in SA might be on the cards

Adesanya was humble as he has been after every loss. Something someone Strickland could learn from

He was looking good then a punch set up a choke, small margins in mma. There’s so many ways to lose

The chat really is bullshit though. I don’t understand why so many keep falling for it. Seeing Jones and Adesanya giggle and play fight each other when they finally met face to face… Bisping and Rockhold goofing around with each other. Most super serious chat evaporates after selling a fight is over

Only caught the last 3 fights. All great to watch. Hooker is an absolute madman, laughing in his corner between rds 2 and 3. Dricus classy in victory and Adesanya classy in defeat, if only he could talk like that normally and just be himself.

Really? I thought it was a good fight. Momentum was going towards Adesanya then DDP landed a strike that set up taking the back. Plenty of good moments in the lead up to that

Not as entertaining as the Hooker fight but still good

Yeah I thought it was pretty good, close rounds, both connecting. DDP looked gassed and then comes up with that flurry and finally the submission.

Totally agree. Izzy was actually looking good. He was leading the strikes and I thought DDP was starting to look pretty tired. It did feel like we were gonna get a result, I just wasn't expecting that. Small margins alright and then bam fight over.

Decent card overall and great to see Kai and Dan get the results.

He has plenty of humility and has always had. But you wont pick this up from just following media headlines.....

I saw footage of them interacting after the fight and yeah, he seemed pretty humble, definitely not always the case though !

I suppose he did his part to promote the fight when he essentially crashed DDPs victory party with all that cringy “N word” stuff a year or so back.

Always interesting hearing how many combat sport athletes become mates when everything is over and they’re long retired.

That was awful, also along with his interview where he claimed Aussies were just racist for not cheering him on against Strickland. The bloke made his own dumb headlines as far as I'm concerned.

My brother reckons some fighters now have writers to hype fights due to that integration with WWE, thought that was BS but Izzy's antics seem so unnatural that..well may he has some really dumb writers.

That’s just it. Every time I feel I should cheer him as a “kiwi” I always think of stuff like this.

……but then again combat sports need a villain, perhaps its just him being good at that ?
