Just checked the odds. Not many people picking the Rebels (1.37 v 3.55)
Tough game for the Reds with everyone expecting them to win
-
Rebels attack looking good.. then an intercept
-
Rebels would look better if they didn't have handling errors. Reds have had plenty of chances.
Koroibete has a tremendous work ethic, always looking for work. Their scrumhalf is impressive too.
-
-
Lots of wallabies injured tho
-
A qualifying final from a 5 team competition? How many finals in this competition?

3 played 2.
Winner plays 1 in final.

Every time I watch Thor play I kind of wish he had stayed in NZ. Just the type of prop the ABs need.

He's unbelievably mobile and has an amazing engine. Pity he often has tits for hands.

We have lots of mobile props in NZ. I've never seen anything from him that makes me all that disappointed we missed out on him.

I think his scrummaging is top notch too. He's arguably the best player in Australia atm.

Can you name a prop that can run like he does as well as scrummage as well as he does?

Agree to disagree. I can't think of any at his level.
-
@akan004 Yeah I can think of hookers who are as mobile as he is, but not props

Running in the open no, but I don't rate props too much on that scale, scrummaging yes - granted I haven't seen him this year in the Oz comp at all, but his scrummaging hasn't ever stood out for me previously.
-
McReight has a chance to be a great 7. He is one seriously promising player.
-
60% of the teams make "The Finals"

He ain't bad in the scrum.
Fact is I want him to fail because mercenary, but he's delivering in all facets IMO.

I didn't say he was bad, but there's nothing about him that I miss, I prefer our props who scrum and hit rucks and make tackles. Plus, he's a Tongan playing for Oz so
-
@booboo Tongan mercenary?

Surely more rugby is better than less rugby in the current climate

He's going to be a very special player. Only 24, still arguably 8-10 years away from his propping prime!
His scrummaging has been outstanding, and his motor is like nothing I've ever seen. To run that hard inside line in the 75th minute, setting up a try, I mean that's just amazing.

yeah he's fucking good. And has been now for a couple of years. He's definitely a good scrummager. And his running game is a point of difference. I would have him in black in a heartbeat.
It's a real shame for the Wallabies that all those good locks fucked off, because they were on the verge of forming a lethal tight 5.
-
@mariner4life 2 spaces left in the wallas squad, gunna be locks from NH under the new rules IMO.

Hosted his old man at the RWC semis in Welly back in 2011 - remember when that corporate hospo stuff was still a thing?! Good man he was, loved a beer.

My implication of "Not bad" should be interpreted as " pretty handy".
And @Bones don't care what his nationality is he's still mercenary. (But yes if had been mercenary for us I wouldn't have objected TOO much.)

On the contrary, as it's you, I'll go pedant and say you really do care. If he was Australian he wouldn't be mercenary.

@booboo geez that was easy. You said you don't care what nationality he is, whilst calling him a mercenary...
