@TeWaio it was a good interview I thought. Was very clear around the issues of gun control and was the first person to make me even think for a minute that guards in schools was a good idea.
Yep, the argument that we (well, the US) have armed guards in lots of other places so why not schools seemed a pretty good one.
And the point that it makes shooters avoid those targets. And that some schools already have them.
Would be a good way to mitigate the problem while you tackle the root causes.

The Ilhan Omar soap opera certainly is entertaining, here’s today’s instalment
Yeah no problems here with US immigration policy
Ali is a convicted war criminal who did the killing himself. Ali has been located in the US working as security at Dulles International Airport

Bernie Sanders has announced Linda Sarsour is going to be campaigning for him again . Last time I don't think she was as well known , I'm sure more people know she mocks fgm victims, told a woman she was too fat to be sexually harassed and continually advocates for Sharia law.

@Rembrandt "Arrests on the border were down to about 72,000 in July from a high of more than 130,000 in May, according to US data."
That is a staggering number. That is just the arrests, can only assume that not too many actually get through. Allowing for the seasonal differences that must be around 1m arrests a year.
-
@Snowy and also just on the border. No idea why the US has been so tolerant to this madness, surely no other country on the planet is? Can no way be sustainable yet all the Dem candidates (bar a couple banned from debates) are pro open borders. If media wasn't so slanted Trump would be in a landslide position for 2020...still might be.

Democrats are losing their minds (again). Pelosi just announced impeachment investigation against Trump — based on a rumoured phone call that no Democrats have heard and no transcripts read. Just more hysteria. They can’t help themselves. But then again, it’s starting to look like they believe none of their preferred presidential candidates can beat Trump head-to-head, and this is their “Hail Mary” play.
-
I’ve generally despised Ari Fleischer for the last 20 years, but even three years is a long time, and Dems have become so unhinged with their pants on fire they make Dubya’s mouthpiece look like the voice of reason by contrast.

@Salacious-Crumb Just keeps repeating. I was at the gym first thing this morning and sure enough the TV screens all had plastered in big headlines "President Trump Impeachment" and no doubt in small text something about the process starting. It's little wonder so many normal folk are unable to have a normal conversation about the guy, the brain was is very real.
-
White House released transcript of phone call to Ukraine that has Dems frothing at the mouth screaming “Impeach!”
If you guessed that it’s *another big fat Nothing-Burger, you’re right. Again.
-
@Salacious-Crumb But that isn't stopping the headlines from major news outlets. It's sick.
BBC up to their usual tricks with canvasing folk on the street.
