What is scary is I haven't watched this for over 30 years, and I can still name nearly all of them.
Hogan, Elizabeth, Macho Man, Rick Rude ( always my favourite ), Jake the Snake, Andre, Powers of Pain ( Warlord and Barbarian ), Ultimate Warrior, Bushwackers ( Butch and Luke, an absolute disgrace to NZ ) Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Brutus the Barber Beefcake and Ted Dibiase.
Elizabeth, Macho Man, Rude, Andre and the Warrior are no longer with us.
It was iconic back then. The only guy I can't recognize is the guy in the green trunks and the mo'
Your missus would. That’s the immortal Ravishing Rick Rude.
Great heel, ( seriously the heels were always more interesting ) and legitimate tough fluffybunny.
Lol, but you do realise it is as choreographed as ballet, and involves a similar amount of toughness?

but yeah seriously, the toll on the body for all those superstars from the time on the road, matches, workouts, roads, recreational drugs, alcohol……..
Fuck that for a life. Hogan has lost a shitload of contemporaries at relatively young ages.

@canefan You must remember Ravishing Rick Rude catch phrase after his entrance. "Cut the music".
I was always an Ultimate Warrior fan.
“What I'd like to have right now, is for all you fat, ugly, inner-city sweathogs to keep the noise down while I take my robe off and show the ladies what a real sexy man looks like…..”
Rude beat him up backstage apparently. Their matches were fucken epic though, #nohomo but Rude was ripped as fuck.
Be sure to catch Dark side of the Ring, the episode on the Warrior is awesome. Very sad and poignant too.

I do remember when $5 would get you an absolute feast at Georgie Pie, 3 pies, chips and a milkshake. Of course there were numerous stories about various dodgy things being found in the pies ( ranging from staples to condoms ) but at that price you took your chances I guess.
My $5 was mince and cheese pie, apple pie, chips, sundae, and coke. You could also get a KFC 1/4 pack for the same price.
Possibly off topic but pies to me aren’t nice if they’re made with fruit. I reckon they always have to be savoury. Also pretty much “steak and” or “mince and”……none of that crossover butter chicken pie shit.
I love apple pies. The Georgie Pie ones were awesome. I'm not a pie purist, if they have something in them and they taste nice to me I'll happily eat them.
I probably have't had a pie in over two years now - since I was last in NZ.
Aussies make shit pies it must be said. Not that you can tell them....
Get the occasional good one. Mind you I think the owners of the local (Pastry Paradise) are Kiwis.

Yep, I have a famous Sydney pie shop on the corner. I've bought bacon and egg rolls from them.
Again, I’m probably a bit weird cos I’d happily eat Bacon and Eggs as my only meal for the rest of my life but Bacon and Egg Pie just doesn’t really do it for me.
Home made B&E pie is the shit.
Those abominations you could buy from the shop where they had added shit like tomatos or peas ... people have been shot for less.

Different strokes I guess. I love B&E pies and make a mean one with bacon, eggs, and a sprinkling of onion, peas and seedless tomato for interest. But my favourite pies would be steak and mushroom and steak and kidney.
Sort of back on topic, I used to be quite the fan of cobblestone potato top pies as well. Well, basically all mince and steak pies I guess...
Good God man, have you no shame?

Yep mate, when I bought pies in Aus they were forever asking me if I wanted tomato sauce, same answer I give here in NZ (though don't tend to get asked it) ,if your pie needs tomato sauce I don't want it. Be honest I has some alright pies on odd occasion there, but on return to NZ on holday (couple of times a year) pie was always on menu, especially if I in Levin and I would go to Sponge Kitchen!! We tend to have better pastry here. Although I can't get a real good one here in Hawera!

My problem is Hawera is the bakery I go to has an Aussie baker, he does some good stuff, but soon as I tried a pie I knew he was Aussie, asked the chick behind counter and she confirmed it!!

Sadly no. I was also a warrior fan
Poor old Warrior, pretty much no one had anything nice to say about him.
Very difficult to work with and a prick supposedly.
Rude on the other hand used to leave his wife at bars and beat the fuck out of any guy who hit on her. Classy fella !

Could somebody tell me who Elizabeth is? I might have have been more into wrestling had I known.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage's manager.
