LOL, this is pure fantasy. Tell us about how great some Wellington highschool kids are.

    @kirwan

Akira was a step up from last week in handling, but didn't think he was that good today. Hopefully the last 2 games are just a bit of dip and don't show he has problems against bigger, more physical teams, because when he plays well, he's bloody awesome.

@kirwan if we are on the subject of learnings then Akira obviously didn’t learn from last week aswell. He went missing again in a game you’d expect him to perform in.

Not true. He made one glaring error with the missed tackle.

Otherwise he fixed his issue last week with his handling in this game. Tackles his heart out, did great work in the maul, took line outs (leading to a try)

And FFS he was moving bodies at the ruck. He did his job.

    Runs /metres
    A Ioane 4 /5
    A Savea 7 /32
    L Jacobson 4 /7
    Tackles /missed
    A Ioane 6 /2
    A Savea 11 /0
    L Jacobson 10 /0

    Not to mention Ardie's turnovers

Jordie, Ardie, and Brad for me too. I assume some of Blackadders votes have carried over from last weeks match? 😉

I don't know what broke me more. Getting beaten up like that or BBs kick. What the fuck was that son? That's Quade Cooper 2011 shit. Good Christ. Luckily for him his replacement didn't do shit (surely that crash ball was not a called move -please God I hope not). But it doesn't help having a 12 who is not very good and has a stooped fucking haircut that even the Village people would call gay. Thankfully we had the only Barrett left worth a damn. Jordie is a genuine super star now. Pity about the rest of the team.

But whatever. This game was what we all dreaded would happen. Foster is just a younger, fatter downhill years Hanson.

@tim what they show is how much Akira underperformed tonight. Pure reality.

The fact you didn’t vote for Ardie says everything.

    Oh no, not everything!

The free stats that go up immediately after games are completely inaccurate. Do you really think he only ran for 5 metres?

@tim shows you weren’t paying attention if you didn’t think Ardie was one of our best three tonight. He was immense in his performance.

They’ve given Akira only two missed tackles so maybe you’re right, the stats might not be fully accurate.

Stats are there for one sole purpose, for adoring fans or angry fans so they can say “see, told you”

@victor-meldrew he can’t do everything. Where was our tight five, you know the engine room of the pack, and Jacobson?

@canefan but those stats can be misleading. First you get a bunch of ninnies who don’t understand the difference between an effective tackle and one will you just get your hands on someone. There’s a big difference between someone making a tackle, the opposition is stopped in their tracks or move backwards and someone grabbing onto someone’s ankles and they gain 10 m. I agree he missed that one tackle but our tight five and that Jacobson fella weren’t that good.

Wasn't criticising him. Think he's a really solid choice at 6 and going to get better and better - just think he's been below par these last 2 games
