Wales v Scotland

Adams injured, Cuthbert in. Strange choice as McNichol is fit.
J Davies is a starter not a finisher. Bad call from Pivac.
Jack Morgan is a huge call. We'll see if it pays off.
Scotland have their first choice front row on the bench.
That could be very ugly for Wales at around the 55 minute mark.
Scotland by distance
11-16

@mikethesnow how does Cuthbert still get selected?? Have i missed his good tests?
-
Cuthbert being selected is great news.
Scotland by 40

Has all the physical ability and at one point in his career was Lions first choice Test winger.
Then his head went.
He’s had 3 good seasons in a row, and the cupboard is bare.
-
Crazy how Pivac is saying that the choice of 13 last match was correct. FFS, can't admit he's wrong can he, Adams was totally out of his depth.

Agreed

One match and remind me of the head coach.
Then his head went.

I'd not say he's had three good seasons in a row. He was really quite average for Exeter. Equal parts highlights and bloopers. Some of his stuff when not under pressure (I know, I know) was pretty impressive. But the blunders, oh the blunders.

He scored in the 1st Test win under Garland then got dropped
Lions lost next two and lost the series
Good for him then, but still only playing because the cupboard is bare

Ahem. Won one and lost one and therefore won the series

Sit corrected
Hopefully he can do this tomorrow

I have cheered him a few times for Exeter but not as loudly as that time.
-
If they had called that an intentional knock on by Hogg, it would have been a shocker for not going back to the Williams steal where there was no release.
As it is, Wales get the scrum pen. Rough on Scotland who should've been having a shot down the other end.
-
And now Williams leading with the knee after Graham had already scored.... good effort from Graham to not react.
-
Is it a case of second year syndrome with LRZ?
-
Finn Russel is such a talent. Just great to watch.
Good finish by Graham but weak defense by LRZ
-
Scotland get one back camping offside until they get a holding penalty.
-
Tackle should be let go, would be penalty at best. But really just a good tackle.

Home town replaying it a million times in hopes for escalation
-
Reckon this 50/22 rule is bullshit. Encourages kicking

Bit of a hard push to say BBC is biased against Scotland in Wale's favour isn't it? 😁
-
Faultless half from Berry?
-
@majorrage said in Wales v Scotland:
Faultless half from Berry?
Hell no.
I'm liking that Scotland have clicked that T Williams is rolling the ball back with his hands and are advancing as soon as he does - Berry just throwing up his hands saying ball is out. More refs should rule it that way.
-
Biggar taking the piss walking the penalty up to 45 from 50 and doesn't even get pulled. Classic. If he'd walked another 20cm he woulda got the 3!
-
Think that was probably gonna be a genuine attempt by Russell until he shat himself seeing how big the Welsh player was 😂
-
What the....that's crazy by Biggar, let's Scotland off lightly.
-
Wales ahead by 3 with ten to play. Finn Russell in the bin. Should be more ahead.
-
Eight minutes left. Wales 20 Scotland 17. Cardiff in full voice. Close game but not great quality.
-
Dunno what Gregor said at half time but he should never ever say it again
-
Series of important turnovers these by Wales. Brave stuff. Tomas Williams the Halfback should be MOM.
Two minutes left.
-
Interesting call. That would have been a Yellow Card last year.
-
Wales win! 20-17. Pandemonium in Cardiff.
-
@majorrage said in Wales v Scotland:

Yeah, Scotland shoulda run away with that, tenacious from Wales but Scotland bottled it, couldn't convert chances.
-
20 Scot phases going nowhere against Welsh D to finish….
-
Scottish attack play far too conservative in the second half. Far too much going side to side without little purpose or adventure.
Wales a lot more disciplined and focused than last week.
-
Fuck, there goes the Grand Slam
-

Lol. The kicking by both teams in the second half was appalling. Biggar a real captains knock. Russell has a Nonu-esqe long pass, but believes his own hype too much, still.
Good game to watch, even with sky being crap due to wind blowing away satellite signal!
-
Well didn’t see that coming, but I’ll take it and cherish it.
Cardiff was awash with tartan and expectancy and a Scottish swagger only seen in Rome.
And despite Wales’ best efforts to hand Scotland the win, the Scots looked reluctant to take it.
Average match, great contest.
What the fuck was Biggar thinking slotting that drop goal? 100 Test caps and he does that.
Basham should have gone, but so too should Hogg.
Amazing atmosphere in the stadium, and town is pumping.

Scotland possibly emptied the tank against the “Auld Enemy” too.
Old school Scotland fans might not even care if they lose to Italy ( never completely out of the realms of possibility for Scotland ) given they beat England.

I think the ambition is higher than old skool now and probably right too.
I think the 2010 to 2015 era would take a plucky won for.the year
