Italy are no chance. Scotland by 80

It’s Italy’s year

Their year to do what ? Lose by a record margin ?

0 from 3 so far. Their year to do what ? Lose by a record margin ?
Nah. Only kidding. My prediction is actually a 3-3 draw with the Italian kicker having a mare and leaving 18 points out on the field.

Yeah I dunno, the Scots haven’t tripped over Italy for awhile like they have in the past. Can’t see that happening.

Scotland should be far too good for Italy but they always seem to have one shit performance in them every now and then. Good luck for Saturday though mate 👍

They already used the good performance for England !!!

So yeah, wouldn’t be surprised if they lost both games from here on in given they won the one that matters ( to them )
-
The Italian grown ups might be struggling but their younger counterparts are doing something very right at U20 level
Italy have beaten England this campaign and last night smashed Scotland playing all the rugby and scoring tries
Could easily get their third win, against Wales, next weekend

"the in goals are so big you could have a picnic in them"
If ever that phrase looked stupid. What kind of fucking picnics do you have Miles?
-
Pearce is just making shit up. Scotland pick up the ball from the ruck, a split second later the Italian knocks it out of his hands. Pearce calls diving on the ball, ignoring Scotland holding it on the ground before that.
A few other examples of him making up an Italian offence immediately following an ignored Scottish one.

Scotland straight on on first phase snd the comms praise the defense ….
-
Jock tactics infuriating. Ball in hand in the backs they break tackles every phase …. But they continue to kick.
-
Pearce again. Scotland 2-3m offside but he's facing the 5m blind instead, then turns around and amazingly 2 Scottish players are straight on the Italian attack and able to get a holding on pen. Gee they're quick eh Luke.
-
Italy number 23 might not be so happy to be making his debut...comes on and misses what, 3 tackles in that try?
-
He'll feel a bit better with a quality try on debut! Sweet step too.
-
Hogg is a pretty ordinary player these days eh, kind of a bit Beaudenish.
-
Make that two tries! Geez I wish Italy could find that kind of drive and intensity for longer than a couple of minutes a match.
-
Was surprised that Hogg’s try wasn’t looked at more re the forward pass. Momentum or not, Price gave pass outside the 22 and Hogg took it well inside the 22.

Thought it looked fine to me, only two viewings but was just on the 22 and just inside for mine. Price was fair moving.

Foster fat jokes aren’t allowed. I’ve reported you so I’d imagine a ban is imminent

And of course you’d have to admit that Hansen was no stranger to the knife and fork.

Good old Scotland.
Promising a lot yet again but destined for a mid to bottom table finish by the looks.
Touching on what @Bones said about Hogg it looks to me like he has bulked up a bit in the wrong way and lost a bit of pace and sharpness ? could also be age as many brilliant attackers lose it as they get older.
Still arguably Scotlands best ever fullback depending on where Gavin Hastings and Andy Irvine sit in the equation.

I can only go by what the old man told me about Irvine but he sounded brilliant. Gav was one of my very first Rugby heroes when the Lions team came and trained at College in 93. Had a massive presence about him and I loved the way he could scatter defenders with his running ( he wouldn’t be quick enough for the modern game though )

Well you’re never in the mood anymore @Bones, I wore that lingerie and you didn’t even give me a second glance. Who can blame me for straying ?

I saw a bit of Andy Irvine at the back end of his career and he was still a cut above most. Hastings too was a great player but a little more fallible IMO.

Even with a bunch of bloody good players ( Jeffrey, Sole, Calder, his brother, Armstrong etc ) he always stood out.
