Starting this in case we get any early indications of players coming back from being unavailable.

Just hard to judge how this will go without the team naming.

Obviously Chiefs scrum is their biggest strong point at the moment so I expect the Brumbies to go hard there. They can’t afford to concede dominance in that area.

Hopefully Cane is back. I think we may see Cane, Jacobsen , PGS but I am worried that PGS’ tank is running a bit dry.

Would prefer Ioane to be back but we will probably see him on the bench if available.

Ratima has been awesome while Weber is away and a Weber/ Ratima one-two is much better than having Roe come on. It would be the next best halfback pairing in the comp after Smith/Fakatava.

Outside backs are the biggest concern but this has been the case since the squad naming (and the passing of Sean Wainui).

It will be interesting to see how they cope with the Brumbies structure and suffocating style.

Either way I'm looking forward to this one.

Remember last year that the Chiefs dominated the Brumbies scrum so that battle will be interesting.

Cane will be back, as he lives in Hamilton.

It would be good to get an update on the injured players, not just the outside backs. What happened to Norris? Injury or covid? I did notice that Solomone Tukuafu was in Brisbane.

@Crucial Considering the injuries that is a pretty strong side and should compete well.

@Crucial I'm going to be predictable. It's the Brumbies, so Slater will probably be on the bench, but I hope Thompson gets the 16 jersey. I really don't rate Slater.

Slater’s scrummaging saves his neck. I’ve even seen him throw straight recently.

It used to be that I would completely give up on our chances if he came on near the end. Now I just panic.

Chief at home should take this even taking into account the Brumbies form. I'd love to see them keep the ball in scrum longer and really attack the Brumbies.

@Crucial You're consciously choosing Gatland? Having you taken a blow to the head lately?

I have Covid at the moment. Maybe it’s a symptom?

I not sure what is bad about Gatland, he no international player, but quite competent at Super level, we'll swap him for Garden-Bachop at the Canes!!

Did you watch the start of last weeks game? Kicking out on full, missing touch, all core roles of a 10 I would have thought.

His kicking from hand last week was terrible. Has been one of his stronger points up to then. Hoping it was an off day.

@chimoaus as I said he a competent super player, have seen Mounga/BB do same this year. Also not sure if you have watched Ioane at 10 and how often he does it. If we dropped all players at super level that made a couple of mistakes we wouldn't have very many teams on field. That's why some are Super level and not international level.

    So maybe Cane. Maybe not.
Narawa and ENS available but we’ll probably only see one of them. Rest looking better but not this weekend

Pity as winning this could really impact the table in the long run. Brumbies have some hard games to come
