New stadium. Would love to go but didn't get tickets, then got COVID, so that worked out nicely.

    Boks have gone early.

Cannot remember the last time we put together 2 good performances. Advantage Boks.

That's a decent foursome to have lost for the Bokke

Exciting much needed changes. I like the bench Three poachers in tandem. Hope we play with more freedom.

Big test for x Boland Boer School Canan Moodie.

Retains their dictum of playing Marx with Kitshoff. Am is big loss IMO.

Looks like a better balance to me

SA - with Willemse pulling the strings - by 7-11

No Lukhanyo Am, how are they going to attack and score tries?

    See above

Willemse to actually take the ball on

Le Roux coming in to the line at pace

@MiketheSnow Le Roux is a dependable fuck up. I'd have more confidence if Am played with Willemse.

I am wondering whether Nierasmus are reading posts online and have decided to trigger me with that selection.

    Where to start.

Wiese can fuck right off, and keep fucking off.

Mostert is not a blindside, how many times are we going to make the same mistake. I really like him as a lock, but we have Louw in the squad or we could bring Kwagga in like last year, when he did very well.

    No lock on the bench.

Willemse at 10 - hes been good at fullback for the boks and was brilliant at 12 for the stormers, but asking him to now switch position again and take goal kicks is a lot to ask. The coaches have stubbornly refused to look at any flyhalfs other than Jantjes and Pollard (even in the squad and training camps) and this what we are left with.

Fourie, wtaf. He was good for the stormers (as an openside), but he is 35 years old. Bit ok maybe we have an emergency? Well not really, we still have Grobbelaar that was in the squad last year and who was very good for the Bulls in the URC, or we could call in Acker van der Merwe. The stormers were down four hookers this season, they were calling up guys on loan to cover, you know what they didnt do? Play Fourie at hooker. Now all of sudden hes on the bench for the boks

Bit of light rain predicted, building from Wednesday night onward. We'll see if the new ground has decent drainage with the NRL Friday night, and how it stands up to scrums Saturday.

Boks might look a bit wounded but the game plan is the same.

Wallabies haven't put together good performances on the trot in quite a while.

    Visitors by 4.

@SidBarret Fourie deserve his chance. Will be great to see him in tandem with Marx, Duanne and Kwagga.

You right about Damian Willemse. Despite his disastrous time in 10 for WP/Stormers, it's his preferred position and played all his schoolboy rugby for Paul Roos/WP and SA Schools in 10. His kicking is a worried.

@SidBarret spot on, but you missed Kriel at centre. The rugby gods are torturing us.

The Fourie thing is madness. if we must have a swing hooker/openside, it makes far more sense to coach Grobbelar as a poacher than to rip a page from the Markgraaf jobs for boys coaching manual.

South Africa make choices no other rugby team does, it's so interesting. A 35 year old debuting as a hooker openside mix this year? I'm not sure I've seen another international team with that mix, let alone starting once they hit 35!

Probably happy to make himself available whereas younger guys are worried about their Euro contracts.

I don't think the bloke they started last week is good enough. Absolute unit, sure, but needs more time off the bench.
