    Still hanging around...

*There's still a ton of respect for the world champion All Blacks but The Times believes the armour of Steve Hansen's side has been dented by a resurgent South African outfit who have laid a blueprint with their aggressive defence and direct attack.

"It would be pushing it to say that New Zealand have lost their aura during the Rugby Championship, with one defeat to South Africa and one remarkable escape, but the Springboks have undoubtedly done the rest of the world a favour," wrote John Westerby.*

Clearly they didnt' watch last year. Narrow loss to Aus in Bris, and a narrow escape in Dunedin. So maybe we're just trucking along as usual, and play decent sides frequently.

@nzzp yep, thats giving little back to the opposition and claiming it's us that are dropping.

Thing is, you need a bit of luck too, and when playing with confidence, luck jumps on for the ride.

I thought the Lions showed the blue print for beating the ABs, and now SA have, Eddie has had the blueprint for 2 years, is there anyone that doesnt have these magical blue prints?

Blueprints are easy. Executing is hard. Executing consistently is very bloody hard. That to me is why this AB side is so good - they seem to rarely have off days like Chicago, where the prep and focus is not there.

The All Blacks might have an Aura, but according to Mick Cleary of the Daily Telegraph, England have "the Gods with them again......"

    Nov 2, 2018

Mick Cleary's Verdict: Such a win for England with an under-strength team bodes well for their World Cup hopes

Redemption day for England, affirmation time for Eddie Jones.

Even Jones is bigging up the team aura - not individual, they're all crap like the over hyped Retallick individually, it's a team thing - awesomeness caused by aura.

    Apparently hanging with Mystique ...

... Russell Hargreaves with RS Brekky guys.

Listen from 7m20s (before that if you want to hear Eddie's interview) and specifically at 7m45s.

The aura is ended even when we win?

"New Zealand played out time to preserve their one-point lead in a match, which, although it did not finish in England's favour, ended any aura of infallibility concerning New Zealand in the heads of Dylan Hartley and his team."

He may have been on side IF they were playing the old way of when a 9 touches the ball (although he still looked offside anyway being a step in front of the line) but it infuriated me how long Youngs would stand there hands on and we have to stay back....you reap what you sow fellas, this is how the game, particularly the NH games have been policed for a few years now (take note Marshall)

@taniwharugby yeah good point, the offside is more obvious if it is ruled as when TJP actually picks it up rather than just touches it. Conor Murray is to blame for that, he's been taking the piss at the back of the ruck for years.
