Too big. Big businesses take on a life of their own.

That saying really resonates - the bigger the business, the stupider the decisions

Yeah, they need the founders to come back and pull an Elon. Identify the activist employees and fire them all.

You can see that a generic human request should cover the whole gamut of human culture, sex, disability, etc, etc. But as soon as there is real-world context it should change. I am feeling that our AI overlords are not quite ready for conquest if they can't figure that out

OpenAI had similar issues at the start as well. Gemini stood out as they dialed up the lunacy in the prompt.

No matter what the user asked for there was an inserted diversity prompt. Completely made the results spastic.

@Kirwan He only needs to sack a thousand people to start with. Google is too successful and hence bloated with imbeciles.

A great word that's lost its meaning. Much like idiot which used to mean severely mentally retarded, but you're more likely to get in trouble calling some a retard these days.

Shut down off topic internal work forums as well. People need to learn they are there to work, not political activism.

So do I, obviously 🙂 But the difference is, the ones at Google are being used to organise protests against potential customers (just one example). And are hosted by Google!

Has there ever been a bigger fumble than this in tech history?

I've never seen such fan fare for the entry into a brave new world be released with such a dud product?

Don't let this stuff distract you from non-IT companies with their own models. People are being replaced in legal departments, finance etc.

been at a presentation this morning, first part with Justin Flitter of NZ AI...

    both fascinating and scary stuff!

Some of the tech out there is mind boggling and he was showing some stuff that he said a week ago wasnt even in use...so much over my head to go into detail, but wow!

It really feels like we're on the noticeably exponential part now. I'm trying to develop my understanding of AI and how to use/ manage it to be better at cybersecurity and that feels like I'm running in front of an avalanche.
