Hope to see these Drua get all up in the Tahs kitchen. Tahs have enough boneheads in the squad they could comfortably have a few in the bin at once if the game gets open. Tame (sic) Edmed is gonna be falling off a few tackles, I reckon.
-
Punting on the Drua in this one. If they get going I'm not convinced that the Tahs will have the answers.
Tahs need to starve them at source and not allow them to get any flow -
Last year the Drua had quite the fan turnout in Melbourne - i'd expect a small vocal pro-Drua crowd.
-
Dumb grass cutter tackle. An obvious YC

I didn't see it clearly, why was it a yellow?
-
No arms diving at the legs. A high injury risk
-
Tahs should have more than one try by now. They should be nervous

Especially after that try. Tahs have had the vast majority of positive possession and find themselves behind on the scoreboard after half an hour.
-
The Tahs bomb another attacking chance
-
The defence of the Drua is something to witness. Some big tackles going on out there. We'll see whether they can keep them legal or the Tahs will want to keep running the ball.
-
Some good ole fashion big hits from the Drua ,its bloody awesome
-
This is great. Drua just smashing every ball carrier backwards. Going to be some sore ribs in the Tahs shed.
-
Didn’t the Tahs all pack on another 15kgs so they wouldn’t get dominated?😹😹

Imagine if they didn't!
-
Love the crowd rising with every hit by the Drua.
-
Langi Gleeson could be what Eddie Jones is looking for in the 8 jersey
Gleeson
Valentini
Hooper
Thats not a bad trio
Is the quickest over 40 metres in the tahs squad
20 years old what a talent..! -
This isn’t a bad game to watch. Lots of ball movement and continuity.
-
@ACT-Crusader Tahs just starting to get on top
Thoughts on Gleeson..? -

Plus a real tussle rather than a one-sided scorefest. Good watch for a neutral.
-
Gee that was a good score from Gleeson. Knew he didn't have the power to go over the top, so just burrowed underneath. Put in some hard yards tonight. Still had work to do though. Some of those hits from the Drua have been borderline at best.
-
Watching on delay.
Tahs discipline is terrible

That said, some of the tackles by the Drua are going without sanction
-
@NTA Whoever put in that rib-tickler on Tahs 15 is lucky to be on the field.

Only saw it once. Timing looked ok.
-
When the Drua find a dependable set piece and defensive discipline, they'll be a contender for the top half of the ladder.
That day is not this season.

He's playing like someone that's got a lot more rugby under his belt. He's also a sizeable lad. I'd bet Eddie is liking what he sees.

He didn't get stopped easily - unlike some more experienced Waratahs.
The acceleration into contact was important, and it was like the Drua simply didn't have time to adjust so his angles and footwork are obviously good.

Thoughts on Gleeson..?Has a good head on his shoulders, plenty of oomph in the physical exchanges. Eddie will be tempted to rush him into the Wallabies squad. Let’s hope he is managed better than some of the very good loose forward prospects they’ve had in the past.
-
The ranga at 10 could be a dark horse for the Oz sqaud
-
Despite the end score I don’t feel that I was too far off tipping the Drua in this.
It took the Tahs a long time to break them down and work out what to do
Drua bench weakens them considerably as well -
@NTA
Gleeson looks like a cross between Willie Viliami Ofahengaue and Toutai Kefu
Good to see this sort of talent coming out of Oz Rugby ,scary as well from a NZ point of view
