Jordie is shite. He’s been shite all year.

Sadly true, second year (in position) syndrome lol

    Easy read

Nick White is just constantly in the refs ear.

Been pulled... Good call from the coach.. Berry had had enough of him.

    Job done though

Holland - Don't take off Roigard

    Good on Flanders

    Great effort

But if the ABs think that Roigard’s feed to the scrum which started it all will be entertained at the RWC then they’re going to be sadly mistaken

    Thought I was watching league

Great game of rugby. The better team won IMO. Sadly for the Hurricanes, some of their players were not up to it, the whole midfield in particular. Blackwell tried much but his lack of physicality was telling against bigger opponents. Comically, it was Delaney who was subbed.

    Ah fuck. Just finished watching.

As much as I reckon Ardie scored the decision was "correct".

Even under the "old" system/question "try or no try?".

    Poos.

Entertaining game. Shame one team had to lose.

As a side whinge Wright should have been YC'ed after his try, and restart should have been pen at halfway.

Looking forward to watching Barrett tonight. Had some big moments last week.

That comment was a kiss of death.
Jordie was very average. No punch, nothing.

from Reddit, looks like the final call was a good one. A second hand under the ball

great finish. Brumbies looked the better side - kicked better, and just smashed everything in front of them. That Canberra crowd is classically feral

Haven’t read the whole thread but the Canes backs looked more like a first game team finding their connection than finalists.
Have to wonder if Cameron was the problem. Not that he played badly, just a lack of game time with the others.
As mentioned Jordie was pants. Showed nothing then topped it off with a bad decision on attack. Certainly not showing what we need in the AB 12 jersey

Looks to me like he scored there. You just can't see the other part of the ball. No try correct decision.

I'm comfortable with the decision. Much of the first half was about self inflicted wounds and poor game management. When we had the chance to steal it we fluffed our lines

Jordie was very average. No punch, nothing.

He has two problems - he just runs straight and hard all the time ( no subtle variations ) and his decision making has always been mixed ( prone to brain fades ). But he has strengths - he runs straight and hard, has a massive boot.

I just don't think the way we've played has suited his game. The midfield does not run it up and set a target for the forwards, the canes rely on forwards in the backline or at first or second receiver running it up

Hurricanes need some locks and loose forwards who put in dominant hits on defence.

    We've needed those since Jerry

Well they have got Brad Shields and Reed Prinsep on their books, do they fit the bill? Is TK Howden still around next season?

@Higgins Are you sure about Prinseep he signed a 2 year extension in 2021 and I can’t find anything regarding him signing on since. I seriously hope TK Howden is resigned for next year he adds some much needed grunt.

I don’t buy that. He didn’t bend the line last night. Drifted sideways a bit and that took away his main power. Hardly used his boot at all.

@Crucial I think that was a good point though, similar to Frizzel he hasn't been looking for a weak shoulder or forcing the defence to make a decision. Just running at them.
