Ardie doesn't go to many attacking rucks so you need a 7 and 6 who clean to retain possession. That allows Savea to carry, which is his strength in this team.

Yeah that's all well and good, except Sititi is better at it.

Dade I say it Ardie is a better distributor at 12 than Jordie. Might be a problem with his kicking though.

And we can see that fucking stupid dummy pass over and over again.

Lakai is a special talent but he needs to work on his breakdown like Ardie did.

I'd like to see Ardie become a specialist bench option like Kwagga Smith.

We will get another 5 years out of him that way

Jacobson, Blackadder, Dalton - even Cane

Lol those four you've mentioned above aren't exactly great examples of players that get us go forward though, are they?

If Kwagga Smith, Michael Hooper, Siya Kolisi et al can be effective at international level, there is no issue with Lakai and Sititi as a combo, aslong as they are balanced out with a big 6 that can dominate (so not Finau). The ABs need more than just a 'good tackler' at 7, someone that can actually be effective on both sides of the ball.

But you were proposing it as an improvement on all the 7.5s, and in terms of size (or at least height) it isn't.
Kolisi/Kwagga play with Wiese and du Toit - both big men.
McCaw played with Read and Collins - both big men.
I hope Lakai and Sititi both go great, but neither is that big - so picking both risks just being a more dynamic set of 7.5s to me.

In answer to the OP's question: Yes, from the bench.

I've no doubt that Lakai will be on the EOYT. It could possibly be the last test for both Cane and TJP in Wellington. Cane brings up his 100th test and TJP plays his last test at home.

Ardie doesn't go to many attacking rucks so you need a 7 and 6 who clean to retain possession. That allows Savea to carry, which is his strength in this team.

Worked well last year. They seem to have gone away from it this year.

If it emerges that cane is playing so he can get a ton and TJ so he can finish at home, razor should fucking resign. However I doubt that's the case, see Crockett

Yes Ardie should play off the bench. I guess Sotutu can't play his way back via these coaches?

He would if he worked harder on both sides of the ball. It’s all his own fault.

Too much upside, not enough downside.

His big problem was actually playing Super. Should have skipped it entirely.....

I'm glad he's playing Semi Professinal rugby for Counties though currently. Really beneficial having him play down there......
