It's because they are all resale seats now, so can charge whatever they want. It sold out before I could get it. Scalpers and bots I guess.

if it is all about the money, NZR should just bite the bullet and sign a mega contract with Nike for Flair Jordan rugby boots. Signed, of course.

Yup and tbh I looked at seats just a few hours after they went on sale two weeks ago and 90% of the inventory was resale. Virtually every seat hoovered up by resellers immediately, it's such a screwed up way of selling tickets.

Looking at the bigger picture - at those prices I doubt you are going to get a dad taking his son to check out rugby for the first time and I get it, they are just trying to coin it in but it doesnt really do much to grow the game/brand/sport outside of the diehards which must in the long run be counter productive.

I guess if no one buys the seats at that price there will be empty space in the stands. Which wouldn't be a good look either. Perhaps some will wait until the last minute for a price plummet

Some random thoughts on random players from the first few weeks...

Jordan - seems to be looking to pass and set up others more this season. Even when he scored his try against the Reds when Preston put him in the gap his first thought was to look for support.

Finau - is it just me or is he looking to get involved more this season? Outside of the usual highlights I am noticing him getting involved in the dirty work. Something which hasn't been obvious to me in the past.

Vaa'i - is starting to look like he may be our best lock, and even more pleasing to me he is looking like he is becoming a leader. Future captain material?

Thought he's always been ok at that in super rugby? He still does dumb selfish plays though, just watching on catch up now and he does an awful chip kick for himself which ends up with the opposition winger nearly scoring a try.

Nah, I reckon he hasn't looked to involve others as much as he has done this year. Historically he has generally been able to pin his ears back and burn the defence, but, and I thought this last year, I am wondering if he has lost a yard of pace.

@Crazy-Horse he was popping up at first/second receiver a few times, rather than being that floating player.

Ah, OK. so likely fit before the France series.

Pleased or him it's not more serious, but don't know quite what to think about that...

Or should be okay for the Super playoffs if the Blues sneak in from here.

This is a bit of an evil thought, but I hope the AB selectors are forced to look at other 10 candidates and that his hand takes ages to heal.

That's how Wallace got his start, JB at 12 too. Fozz and Razor both seem too dependent on their favourites

To be fair, in JB's case he had excelled at 15 in the previous season and it's understandable for Robertson to stick with known players in his first season/few games.

That said, if I see Havili in the 23, I'll happily join the favourites bandwagon.

Aside from the Saders and Fihaki, he picked some guys that either barely played, or don't appear to be the answer, such as Pap and Jacobsen

On subject of previously maligned players, I saw Chay Fihaki do a good thing. It's a first.
