For various reasons I'm now watching behind and Leroy Carter has just scored.

But does anyone else get Jack Russell vibes for Carter? Like he doesn't realise he's a tiny dog and he's going to take on the the Alsations and Dobermans with no recognition of disparity in size.

    Am fanboi.

@Canes4life Is there a bigger waste of space in terms of commentary? Guy always says something dumb.

That’s bloody good going into the Bye, especially after the loss last week.

    How good!

    Chiefs are 4 points ahead.

Chiefs have MP (H) and Highlanders (A). Crusaders have Waratahs (A), Highlanders (H), and Brumbies (A).

Can the Brumbies surprise and finish first? That last game against the Saders could be crucial.

@Canes4life Their last two games are at home, but the Chiefs will get at least 8 points from their next two. The Brumbies would have to get bonus points in all three games to tie on points, with the Chiefs getting none.

Great statement by Quinn Tupaea. Turned up at the home of Scott Robertson's favourite team and totally outplayed one of his favourite players.

Tupaea and sititi were huge. Tupaea MOM for me

I would throw Vai'i and Jacobson into any MOTM discussions. Vai'i is the best lock in NZ at moment, and Jacobson is just so bloody good at doing his job.
Mind you Dmac controlled game bloosy well too. I thought that was a good a game as I have seen this eason, and as a neutral loved every minute, as did Mrs Dan, who couldn't believe the 2 teams kept it up for whole game.

I saw that intercept coming from a mile away. The flat long pass was never on.

It’s annoying because McKenzie had done so well up to that point. Set up the attack from kick return, organise a few carries up the guts before releasing Stevenson at the right time into space. With a ruck to the right side line, launch a first pod quickly into contact before setting up another wide attack. He had constructed a great attacking position:

But then, when receiving the ball, he just dawdles, pump-faking the ball for no reason and taking too long to throw the flat pass to Sititi. He still has these moments where he doesn’t really seem to have a feel for the defensive line and the amount of time and space he has available. It’s unfortunate because he had done superbly well up to that point.

@ploughboy Well, the Chiefs did play poorly in the 1st half, and their defense was passive.

Passive defence possibly equals saving a bit more for later? It was what I was hoping for with the ABs but seemed to have the opposite effect.

@Bones I don't think they wanted to concede that many points.

I think anyone would struggle to argue against that.
