Lydia Ko wins the bronze for those who are not sleeping.

Are you watching replays? That happened yesterday.

    Or have I misunderstood?

Lol. Basically I haven’t been watching the Olympics and of course I don’t see any New Zealand coverage so I’m way behind :-).

    4 x 400m men's relay.

USA win gold in a season best, but the biggest surprise are the Dutch, who win silver in only their second appearance in this event (1980 being the first). Botswana win Bronze, I think they said in an African record.

The Dutch benefiting from importing a couple of brothers...

He is number 3108, wearing a white singlet with Zebra like black wavy stripes. Natural hair colour, making him look like his twin brother.

Spreading out a bit now. He will do well to finish top 20. Bloody hot and humid.

Apparently an Aussie out after 10km. Thought it was the Park Run?

In all seriousness, it must have been an injury. Getting one that early must be absolutely soul destroying.

His name, Kipchoge, is a Nandi language expression for "born near the grain storage shed.”

The possibilities are endless for that.

Feel sorry for the Kenyan in 4th.

All of these times are crazy. It’s hard enough to finish one let alone run it in 2:20.
