What? No bold predictions or reports of the next big thing going to tear the Crusaders apart. And not even a mention of how Savea will dominate Todd. Disappointing C4L

Well I think the parity among NZ teams is great in that before it was a foregone conclusion that the Crusaders would win. Now it could go either way.

Will be a close run game but the biggest concern I have is we have not beaten another Kiwi side apart from the blues.

Up against good opposition we have folded every time, Canes by 7 or under even with our home advantage :(

Pah - last year we put a better Canes team than this one to the sword at Traf. Park.

My main concerns are the absence of Taufua and starting Crockett at loosehead. Whatever else Wyatt may do, I've rarely seen him buckle his opponent in the scrum. I reckon we should be using Franks and Moody in tandem for 60 minutes to try to maximise scrum advantage. I'd also be using Romano at lock ahead of Barrett for that reason - though I guess Luke is on the injury comeback trail.

Still, surely we can put these wasp-coloured bastards away.

Us with a bonus point and by plenty! :)

Isn't Moody nursing a neck injury?

Whoever wins that battle will go along way to deciding the final result IMO. Openside and First Five will be key areas in this game and if Barrett fires I think that will tip us over the line.

Go Savea!! :D

Reckon the Canes will pip them. Say mid 30's to low 20's - expecting to see some good running rugby and some cheehoo hits too!!

I'm a little more optimistic going into this weekends game than previous derbies.

As I mentioned in last week's game thread, it's only taken the whole comp for Toddy to play what I think is our best midfield. Richie is starting to kick goals more consistently and we don't have Macalai on the wing.

It's going to be a tough game as I like what the Canes forwards have been doing this season. I think we need to target the Canes midfield and back 3 and keep the ball the hell away from Barrett

wasted by mcnicholl's crap defence. good line from woodward and pass from barrett, but you shouldn't really be able to do that so easily.

Ok, trying to keep an eye on Ardie to see the hype. In that bit of play with the Crusaders pressing very hard on the Canes line, he did a very good job of having to do fuck all....managed to stand at pillar a lot though.
