There Trumpire is cleaning a bit of house before January:
In summary: $25M settlement for Trump University lawsuits.
-
Seems to be scared people out there. Is it justified?

Neither side is covering themsleves in glory. But Trump reacting via Twitter sums up my concerns about his reactive nature.
You are not alone in that.. and it really puzzles me
You seem to infere that both sides actions have some sort of equivalence... and indeed Trump is worse.
Pence just went to see a play, the cast had chip at him, the crowd booed and interrupted the play, then outside he got harassed again and abused. There is no equivalence in that. That ois one side doing.. nothing. And the other side being petulant fuckwits.
As for Trump, he just texted what many people thought, nothing wrong with that. Obama did lots of non presidential things as well, he made made some shocking decisions. Trump tweets and cuts over the media.. so fucking what? Maybe he needs to as the media is overwhelmingly no doing there job? It is just a nice story that because someone tweets how they feel about events that they are 'reactive'.. dont we want people to be reactive? What is the alternative? Be non reactive?
Trump talking directly to the people is not a bad thing. And I heartily sick of of the false equivalencey argument... people harassing and bleating.. and they are excused because... Trump tweets that they are rude and bleating?Have we traveled so far down the left wing PC bullshit rabbit hole that calling a spade a spade is a bad thing? We actually prefer early mouthed closed room bullshit double speak? If Trump talks shite in some of his tweets.. as he has on occasions.... just call him on it.... better than the alternative.

@booboo
Conventional wisdom dictates you roll over and take being harassed because it's African Americans "voicing their concerns"Trump is a different kind of President. He demands equality, regardless of race. Totally fearless to raise the issue whereas most stay silent. I love it.
PC culture is in serious trouble if he is a successful President.
Wondering what Trump did that was racist toward African Americans and still waiting for Obama to condemn the left's continued violence against Trump supporters. Is he retaining a "dignified silence?"

This is the sort of thing that the Trump administration will likely target. Corporations like Twitter will be found out and likely subjected to federal scrutiny.

LOL Pence got addressed publicly by a few actors. Now Trump decides he has to whinge about it. What gives?
I'm sure Pence has got thicker skin than that. Jesus will guide him.
I know it's his thing but Trump should realise, now that he has won the office, that he is probably best not to answer. It just seems petty and probably makes the incident seem more significant rather than letting it die a natural death

@canefan I think that Republicans have taken the high road in the past and not responded to this tripe but there is almost a sense of we are done with this approach and a little smash mouth is in order for these creeps. Besides how about you entertain, we pay you and you keep your political opinions to yourself because we did not pay for that. Or if you want to add that to you description of that nights entertainment do so before so we can make an educated choice to go or stay home.

@broughie It looks to me like the protests are more about Trump than against the GOP per se. He is so polarising, and he lost the popular vote (such as the value of that is considering only 50% of eligible voters did vote) so all of the groups he pissed off throughout the campaign can't let it go. Not a justification, just my 10 cents

@NTA
Trump is playing politics.
It is totally calculated.
Audience $500 bucks per ticket + Broadway actors
Booing the VP throughout the performance then giving him a lecture.
Plays well to the every-man. Silent majority just gets a bit bigger.
And Trump does it because the MSM will not state his "position" properly. -
@Frank have you seen the video from the end of that performance?
You could only consider it a "lecture" if you were a paranoid RWNJ who thinks that the best way to move ahead is to be loud, brash and stupid. That is, after years of criticising the left for being loud, brash and stupid.
Right at the start, the actor delivering the appeal - for that is exactly what it is - even told the audience to stop booing the VP-elect.
Now, there is no sign that Pence has taken offence to this that I've seen.
But if Trump thinks that he can demand an apology for a citizen of his nation for asking him to represent all citizens - as he promised in his victory speech - well perhaps he's not in the right job. Perhaps he's not interested in representing all Americans. Just perhaps the promises Trump made are utter bullshit and he's still campaigning rather than starting to think about the duties involved in running the show.
Plays well to the every-man. Silent majority just gets a bit bigger.
I'd suggest it probably hasn't. The proportion people who don't like actors "lecturing" politicians versus those who do has probably not changed. Pretty sure Pence has been bailed up on the street occasionally and lectured by the average citizen. Pretty sure he knows that's part of the gig.
The "silent majority" have had their say. Remembering of course that barely half of registered voters actually showed up, and only half of those voted Trump. So hardly a "majority" at all

I agree but just as polarizing as Obama just our side is too busy working and being productive to spit the dummy. I know you guys may not have sense this as he was the media butt buddy. Anyway, stand by my thoughts. In my job I keep my political opinions to myself. It is expected.
