English romped home by the sounds of things, hopefully he can keep the barbarians at bay next election.
And...because I supported him ...does that not now make me a political genius?
Yes @Frank
I think you guys are confusing supportng with understanding....

No idea who you're looking at TR - but, his press secretary is one of Richie McCaw's ex's - Nicola Grigg.
-
could be, looks similar, but she is usually standing behind him.
-
He had Joanne Black as his press secretary who was one of the best writers in the listener, it sucked that she left but it got worse when they replaced her with Bill Ralston .
Russel Norman said English was the opposition politician he respected the most when asked in an interview a couple of years back.

A train, the environmentally sound choice. All these years of hiding and you've slipped up and revealed yourself as a closet green.
I always had my suspicions you know. -

I always had my suspicions you know.It was a steam train... lots of coal is used. Hence the toot toot...
You ferroequinologist muppet -
@Baron-Silas-Greenback nice try pinko but I'm not buying it.
So is it a nut roast or tofurkey for your non denominational mid summer dinner? -
A nice summary of the success of John Key
-
What? I thought he just got lucky?
To be serious though, I thought he may have struggled with the Christchurch earthquake and surprised to see him being lauded for it. Everybody I know in Christchurch absolutely hates him. It maybe because they are my infamous WT relatives though, and i've just assumed that all people in Christchurch are like that.
Again, that may not be accurate, but that's probably for another thread which I won't read.

So National are hitching their wagon to English and Bennett. She seems quite tough, has handled tough portfolios like social welfare and like John Key has a background founded in time spent on the benefit
If Bridges is really ambitious and smart - he should find his way to elocution lessons.

@Chris-B. And get some heeled shoes, plus a better tailor. One pic of him at a groundbreaking ceremony, he was like a foot shorter than everyone else, a Thunderbirds expression on his face, and his suit cuffs were nearly hanging by his knuckles. Politics is about perception.

Yeah, JK ate Campbell's lunch in the GCSB one. Campbell tried his best to land punches all interview and Key just had the bat and pad close together and then left everything outside off stump. A tremendously skilful performance in negating the treachery of the left's most persistent media mouthpiece. Oops, am I using the boxing or the cricket metaphor?
I think it was only a week later when Bridges and Campbell shouted at each other for ten minutes - a completely different game on an equally tough pitch. That one over offshore prospecting?
