I'm going to say it now.
Fuck these 10s and their season wrecking injuries!
Agreed. If there was no 10's 2 years ago, I'm pretty sure there would be Richard Buckman, All Black, instead of ALB AB
-
@stockcar86 Haha well played. Happened in a 15 aside preseason fixture vs Racing in Hong Kong wasn't it?
-
The gloss is obviously coming off these pre-season jaunts
-
@antipodean huh?
-
@kiwimurph rolling out retired 44-year-olds...
-
@antipodean gives me hope of a call up at least!
-
All a year slower etc. I understand from a coach's perspective I wouldn't want to risk more of my squad than necessary, but trotting out retirees...
-
Is it morphing into one of those old timers comps they have in the states - or the senior tennis tour, or the short lived masters cricket comp. Seeded with young talent and maybe a front liner they are gagging to get match fit asap. Balanced against the risk of injury of course.

I'd say no-one from the Crusaders' best 23 squad in that team - very few who would even make a second XV. A few names I barely recognize.
Surprising to me that Will Jordan hasn't featured in either this squad or vs the Hurricanes. Is he injured or is Razor keeping him under wraps?

@tim I thought that West would have been a pick for the Canes, he seems tailor made for 10s.
He probably features large in the Canes plans this year, as an impact 10 and someone that can start against the lesser teams. So unwilling to risk him. Which is a bit of a shame as he'd go well with the extra space.

There are a lot of good club players in crusaders. Ben Morris , Hamish Dalziel Brett Cameron ngane punivai from lincoln uni. Tom Christie , Zach Mckay from Christchurch and Dylan Nel from sumner. Some real talent in there , but untested at this level. Zach Mckay biggest surprise for me. Played colts last year and didn’t really dominate. I would’ve thought Connor garden bachop or Rameka Poihipi would’ve been ahead of him.

Has Losi Filipo got a chaperone if he decides to explore the Brisbane nightlife after the tournament?
