@taniwharugby I’ll definitely pass then , I liked it when they had more World War One stuff in it.

I was like that with Penelope Cruz, always liked her and then saw her in Blow and her character was awful, and she was not hot for me straight away, took a few years for me to like her again. Now that was some great acting deserving of an Oscar.
Dont rate Cruz at all!

Neither did I after Blow.
Man, we must all be adonis's to not rate these obviously attractive actresses

@nepia I mean I dont rate her as attractive...but then I am an adonis.
Yeah, that's what I meant, I found her character so awful in Blow that I stopped finding her attractive for a time.

@nepia I think she is a pretty good actress but never found her attractive.
I’m sure she’s gutted to hear that

Her accent always annoyed me.

@jegga I'm surprised you mentioned that movie without mentioning the nakedness of Charlize Theron - you're slipping.
Pacino probably should have won for a Godfather or Serpico.
He's (Brody) only in one series, the most recent one, so you're good to watch the early ones.
Godfather 1 Best actor went to Brando
Godfather 2 Art Carney in Harry and Tonto WTF - other nominees Albert Finney in "Murder on the Orient Express", Dustin Hoffman in "Lenny", Jack Nicholson in "Chinatown", Al Pacino in "The Godfather, Part II"
Godfather 3 - Pacino didn't get a nomination. Nominees were Jeremy Irons in "Reversal of Fortune" (winner WTF Pt 2), Kevin Costner in "Dances With Wolves", Robert De Niro in "Awakenings", Gerard Depardieu in "Cyrano de Bergerac", Richard Harris in "The Field"
Serpico Jack Lemmon in Save the Tiger WTF Pt 3 -other nominees Marlon Brando in "Last Tango in Paris", Jack Nicholson in "The Last Detail", Al Pacino in "Serpico", Robert Redford in "The Sting"
The Academy seems to have got it right more often in the 70's than nowadays but Pacino must have wondered what he did wrong to lose out to sentimental votes to ageing but respected actors two years running who held together non-descript films that pretty much tanked at the box office.
Serpico loses to an old guys sorry efforts to save his business via insurance fraud and the Godfather to an old guy who walks across America with his cat - getting consistently disappointed by his kids en route WTF Pt 4

Sicario, Day of the Soldado.
Decent watch, similar vein as the first but not quite as good.

Whoever beat Sam Rockwell for the Oscar in Moon was very very lucky ,speaking of which check him out playing GW and Bale playing Cheney .
That's got Oscar nomination for Bale written all over it.
Fair play the Haverfordwest boy suffers for his art.
Cheyney's gut at 1:07 to this

View To a Kill (1985)
This film is a bit tired and shit. The patterns are getting increasingly transparent. In this one Grace Jones plays the exact same part as Jaws part, the baddie who gets wronged by the super baddie and becomes a goodie and dies to save James.
Breakthrough for Bond franchise though; they gave the megaspunk babe a science brain. "Womens Lib" they called it. Plus James didnt even root her til the last scene.
36% on Rotten T. Rog Moore is wayy past it here. FFS I could totally kick his arse in this one. Could in all of them really. 65 kg lightweight.
1985? Looks more like 1980 to me. Don't tell me my teen years were spent being bored titless in such a tinpot environ. It really was boring as fuck before the internet came along. Shit, imagine being born one of these "millenial" sooks with the internet right fucken there. Internet grot, ffs, I would've started wanking at the age of 3 instead of fucken 5.

I know I should see this before reviewing, but I'm prepared to make a prediction and say you should see it. A cross between Unforgiven and Gran Torino

Smallfoot.
Never quite sure what to make of kids movies, but this was fun with a decent enough storyline. Plenty of moments to make the kids laugh so worth taking them along to see it.
3.5 stone keepers out of 5 conspiracy theorist yetis.

Antman and Wasp.
thought this was decent, bit of humour and Evangeline is tidy as is Hannah as Ava/Ghost (I like her from Killjoys)

Rumour is that James Gunn is going to direct and write Suicide Squad 2 for DC, am stoked!
That's good, although the cast seem to still be holding out hope (putting pressure on) that he'll return for Guardians 3. I actually didn't mind the first Suicide Squad (one of the better DC for me, despite getting the worst reviews for them) but it was hellishly disjointed due I assume to the trailer reaction and re-edit. It will be good to see what a single vision can do with it.
