15 Josh Ioane, 14 Waisake Naholo, 13 Thomas Umaga-Jensen, 12 Tei Walden, 11 Josh McKay, 10 Bryn Gatland, 9 Kayne Hammington, 8 Elliot Dixon, 7 James Lentjes, 6 Shannon Frizell, 5 Pari Pari Parkinson, 4 Jackson Hemopo, 3 Siate Tokolahi, 2 Ash Dixon, 1 Daniel Lienert-Brown
Reserves: Ricky Jackson, Ayden Johnstone, Josh Iosefa-Scott, Tom Franklin, Marino Mikaele Tu'u, Folau Fakatava, Patelesio Tomkinson, Marty Banks
Looking at that line-up, the main issue seems to be with the 11 jersey, where Li usually plays. If they had a good player for that position available, they could play McKay at fullback and start Ioane at 10, with Gatland/Banks covering from the bench. I'd like to know where Buckman is at. He can play at 11-15, and play there well. He came back from Japan and holiday at the same time as Franklin.
TU-J has talent but was like a ping pong ball on steroids against the Chiefs; I hope they can calm him down a bit. He also usually plays at 12, I think?
The weakest spot seems to be reserve hooker. I've never understood how Jackson made the NZ U20s and now SR? He was out of his depth during the few games I've seen him play M10 Cup (like the rest of his team).
I'm quite excited to see Fakatava named on the bench. Only turned 19 in December, so very young, but so much potential.

bring back the Canta-blacks!
Just ship some black jerseys and BBBR to Christchurch for the RWC squad.
Looks like being a tough weekend for Highlanders and Chiefs fans with the All Blacks stand downs.

@Stargazer it's not looking like an easy path back for the departing Squire...
Scoring tries and making running metres - is that what we want from our loosies?
-
Nice pace by naholo , even if it doesnβt count
