Coronavirus - Overall

@pakman I think we need to understand this is likely to be with us like influenza and those vulnerable people will always be at a higher risk. The key is getting enough people exposed to it and some sort of immunity so the health system will cope. Then you can remove the restrictions and life will go back to normal, sick people will likely die at a greater rate due to this virus and healthcare systems will need to grow to adapt to it.
Ultimately long term this is another reason to get healthy, off the smokes, healthy weight etc.

Mods be cleaning up this crumpet mess like... -

@Virgil What do you put on those crumpets?
Butter and golden syrup is beautiful
I'm now getting homesick for that waxy white honey I grew up with.
Was that clover honey? Used to be very pale
We will upset @R-L if we keep going off topic..
But yes clover honey was the pale looking one
Looks to be readily available in New Zulund. Even dirty Pam makes it

And as a bizarre coincidence, today I had a crumpet topped with smoked mackerel and grilled cheddar with a little piccalilli. Absolutely feckin gorgeous. The glass or two of carignan with it was tops too.

I think I threw up a little bit in my mouth.
I’m really worried the next shortage the world will face is crumpets.. we have to this talk to ourselves
-
I'm actually disappointed in you all BTW, just because you have your own NZ corona thread now you are all like "feck the rest of the world let's talk crumpets here now."

Is there a right time to ask, English Muffins vs Crumpets?
You cannot compare the two. They have different functions.
-
@Catogrande Please explain?

@voodoo And how do you put an economic value on life? Would you rather your job or your granny. Very tough decisions to make.
Simplistic. Suicides will outnumber virus deaths if millions of people lose everything at the same time as being socially isolated

@Baron-Silas-Greenback If you were in power what would you do.

A good Shiraz - say a Kalimna Bin 28 - could work as well.
Hear that online wine merchants are selling loads of cheap plonk as people stop going out. Hope they discount the good stuff to free up warehouse space - running low on '83 Musar

Crumpets.
Haven't you noticed they have an infinite capacity to absorb melted butter?
