They got a bigger name actor to be Kovacs and somehow made the character worst.
Blacktain America can't act

Warrior Nun - nice rack
I've just finished watching this myself. And yes, Alba Baptista provides some eye candy.
I enjoyed it for what it was, particularly after watching Dark and The Haunting of Hill House immediately prior. Both of those shows required more attention to keep up with the plot and to not miss any clues along the way.

I mean, I've watched 5 of 8 episodes. Now i have to stop because the kids came home. And i wonder if I will bother finishing
Although the kids could probably watch it. It's not overly violent, and there are no titties
I finished it. Super underwhelming.
Turning Kovacs into a soppy bitch was pretty unforgivable.
Way to massively undermine a solid first season

Episode two of Perry Mason done, it's really good.
Annoying though - it seems at the moment in time it's based, there was no light in the world, so good luck seeing a scene. Oh and even if you can see it, you may not hear it unless your telly is at about 80% max volume. Maybe not one for you @taniwharugby
It's classic how Rhys gets called boyo all the time by Lithgow. Is that something they've added or was that in the original?
On to Episode 2
Loving it.
Barton Fink aesthetic

@MiketheSnow hadn't heard of Barton Fink boyo.

Watched S3 of Designated Survivor just to finish it off, and this one was by far the worst. Thankfully only 10 episodes. The change to Netflix saw the introduction of f-bombs, sex scenes etc which I would usually be cool with but after the two previous seasons with none it just felt really jarring. This season was all about the campaign, but a whole bunch of characters from the end of S2 weren't there, and weren't mentioned, they just vanished. Along with good writing and a semi-coherent plot. They killed off about the only character I liked, in a very stupid way. Also this 'independent' dude spent the whole season on the far left, people on his team did a bunch of shady assed stuff, he swayed between yelling at people and waking up his intermediate-aged daughter to have a chat in the middle of the night, but he won the election cos his Mexican-American VP pick made some good speeches. The final episode clearly set up a 4th season but it is very easy to see why it wasn't green lit.

S3 of Marcella.
I think this season was new to Netflix.
Was pretty dark season, quite intense as Marcella grapples with reality in her undercover persona in Belfast.
-
@mariner4life Nah, first two seasons were made by ABC. But all three are now available on Netflix.
-
@taniwharugby thanks for the heads-up! First two seasons were great so will check it out.

I started a series called Deep State, because i like Mark Strong.
Ex MI6 dude called back in for one last job type thing.
It's started off pretty well, 2 episodes in.
Does help that it has the sexy Mossad chick from Strike Back in it.
-
@mariner4life yeah first season is good. Couldn't get into the second season.

I started watching The Sopranos 10+ years ago and never went back once I moved to Australia. Just never had a service where it was on and free to air reception was shithouse. I finally sat down and watched it from start to finish over the last few weeks. Fuck what a great show. So funny, particularly the episode where Vito's lifestyle change becomes known. I was in tears with some of the reactions. Its not PC in anyway shape or form but the reactions are hilarious, specifically Tony's crew.
Anyway the last scene is epic, disappointing and fitting all rolled into one.
