@crucial Nice work! Webjet might need to look at their systems...
So your 0400hr flight is confirmed? Kidding.
Actually if you are going from Auckland it is a good time to go to the Airport. It reverted back to 1600 so my guess is that I saw a screen that was via a GMT system?
I seemed to see a bit of the background automated workings that you don't normally see.
Definitely all acted like a bug.My friend had missed his flight from there coming up and before paying for a re-book on the ticket was having a quick look on his phone at options when an $80 return fare popped onto the list. He realised that he didn't need return so went off the screen to change to one way then came back and the same flight was $300.
I haven't been able to replicate it but the flight is all confirmed and added onto my AirNZ app so I'm not complaining.

Definitely all acted like a bug.Yes, the airlines will all use a GMT / UTC booking system for obvious reasons. Did you book over the weekend of daylight savings (man I hate that expression, GOM) change?
I'm back down there in July - would be nice to reproduce the fault.

Bloomfield said NZ is rolling out Pfizer vaccines, which is highly effective.
Advanced purchase agreements remain in place with other providers, he confirmed.
This would help mitigate any supply issues - not that Pfizer have outlined any issues thus far, he said.
The Janssen vaccine is the next in line to receive the health nod. A decision on whether or not it can be used will be made on April 15.
He said like New Zealand, Australia has been in the position of rolling out a vaccination programme while Covid was not in the community.
He said New Zealand's programme has been "rigorous".
Officials have been talking to people in Israel and the UK to help with the rollout.
The Government is looking at having some of the Johnson and Johnson vaccines delivered in the fourth quarter of this year, if it passes its Medsafe trial next week, he said.
Bloomfield said this could happen even earlier than that.

Yeah. It was Sunday morning.

Ashley has called an unscheduled press conference at 1pm. Word around the campfire is there is a new community case. Meanwhile those in my profession based in Auckland still wait for the vaccine roll out, and colleagues of mine in Wellington already have theirs. What. the. actual. fuck.

Well that will be a short trans- Ta$man bubble.

@canefan the snippet I heard on the radio was it is a border worker with zero risk to community.
Let's bloody hope so. Hate those impromptu pressers!!!

Auckland higher percentage gone on second doses in Counties-Manukau.

What the fark is going on???!!!
-
Dunno. Do you think that is bad? I don't have an opinion on it yet.
I'd wager that the ratio of vaccination resources to people in category 1 - by DHB - means more border and quarantine requirements in greater Auckland (particularly Counties-Manukau) are absorbing vaccines that in other DHBs with less border pressure have gotten to dentists already.
I don't have an opinion on concentrating more vaccinators in Auckland to even this out. E.g. I don't know the efficiancy of moving qualified people, who by nature are spread around the country, to Auckland for a blitz. Apart from military medics, who are probably already deployed there, I don't know where the extra capacity comes from.
(By my maths - 49.9% of vaccinations have been issued in Auckland)

Counties Manukau probably included that very first cohort of border workers, etc.

Major MIQ facilities are here. Almost all community cases start here. Excuse me for thinking the majority of resources should be directed here, to workers and the general public

That's 50% of the vaccinations going to a geographic area with approx 33% of NZ's population? Maybe it could be a bit higher, but there are plenty of Ports, MIQ facilities, aged care facilities, and front line doctors elsewhere as well.
-
@canefan
Of course, but the majority are.So far 50% of vaccinations for 33% of the population.
So, what is the the magic number?
You don't prevent 65 year old GP in Upper Hutt who ain't moving anywhere from giving vaccine to whoever is next on his list because Auckland hasn't hit x% yet.

Yeah. Just having a grumble.

So far it reads like a case of Keep Calm and Carry On.

Pretty much all of our cases are coming from the airport so they are focusing there and working outwards to Manukau, etc. The rest of the country haven't had any issues anyway so why would they get vaccinated (in a rush). Start at the root of the problem and work outwards seems logical.
Interesting that DHB are the quantifiers for vaccines, but the whole Auckland area is defined for a lockdown.
