Yep. I'm quite pleased, personally, that I don't have to see his views anymore when I watch the news (not necessarily because I disagree, but because I think that he is an arrogant twat), but if people want to, off you go.

Trump has launched a way to directly communicate with the public.
No replies are allowed. Is this his version of a Presidential Library?

i wonder ,if he does build a presidential library, where there will be a record of this tweets. they're pretty much a "continous" record of his thoughts throughout his presidency, pretty unique for a presidents i would think

The share links to other platforms is interesting... presumably each post being shared would be checked like any other content being posted? so playing it on a (shared) post by post basis approach I guess.

That's hilarious.

In saying that, the de-platforming of Trump has been hugely successful. He's a complete non-entity now. Really shows how influential Facebook and Twitter are.
The Social Dilemma is worth a watch as well, former staff members talk about how they realised they could significantly influence election results by curating what people see in their feeds etc.
Those companies have far too much influence on society.

A bigger part was the loss of the election. You go from hero to zero overnight. Twitter/Facebook are a smaller impact in my opinion

Not so sure. People still take notice if Bush/Obama/Carter (and to a lesser extent Clinton) have something to say. They just pick their moments and don't drown out their own voices.

There was one significant benefit of having Trump on Twitter that I do miss.
Whenever someone proclaimed that 'you only dislike Trump because of fake news and the lamestream media', it was good to be able to reply with sincerity "no, I only have to read a few of his recent Tweets to remember that the man is a git".

It looks as if Dick Cheney's daughter, Liz Cheney, is about to be booted out of House Republican leadership. She is a major opponent of Trump.
It feels to me as if Trump still holds sway over House Republicans, but less so the Senate.
Wasn't she an ally, until that little protest on Capitol hill? I don't have time to find a clearly non-partisan side (this one is allegedly centre-left) but you can verify for yourself the facts..

So the one advantage of there being a Donald Trump is he reminds you you don't like Donald Trump? I'm not sure that is a clear advantage..
