Bieber's seqway skills need some work. My favourite bit was the look back in panic when he realised the girls were faster than the segway... -
The disappointing thing about that video, Kirwan, is the "almost" in the title.
Bieber is an incredibly annoying little twerp.

To counter him, here's possibly the most awesome music video ever made. Awesome concept, awesome lyrics, and awesome special effects - from the man who invented MTV...
Stringfellow Hawk was badass and he played a cello. There's something about those intros to the shows in the 80s that always got me pumped. MacGyver was my all time favourite show as a kid, but Street Hawk was right up there too...
BTW, those of you who dig the whole "machine as star of show" tv show thing might want to check out Jack Black's stillborn parody show Heat Vision and Jack.

Thanks very much for this CB - been almost 10 years since I listened to any Mike Nesmith, so dug out my Newer Stuff CD and listened to it this afternoon - great stuff - every song on that album is different, and really good - not many albums that I like every single track on

Geek fact of the week - Mike Nesmith's mother made way more money than he did - she invented Whiteout/Liquid Paper correction fluid... -
Yeah, I've got a soft spot for Mike. Incredible use of two light bulbs and a sheet of black polythene in that video! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

If you google "different drum" on youtube you get three interesting versions: Nesmith's (who wrote the song), Linda Ronstadt's well known version, and also the "Still gorgeous at 50" Susanna Hoffs (ex-Bangles).

Usually, when you read about the "still gorgeous at 50, XYZ" in the Woman's Day or similar (waiting in the Dr's surgery with a broken leg...), I'm thinking "hmmmm, weeeellll,....not really". But, I reckon Susanna is still pretty tidy.
