Law Abiding Citizen. Fist 3/4 excellent final 1/4 ridiculous.<br />
<br />
5/10<br />
<br />
The princess and the frog. 2D is so retro.... Not bad but certainly not great. A typical Disney song-a-thon. Kids loved it but otherwise completely forgettable.<br />
<br />
6/10<br />
<br />
Orphan. Not one I will watch ever again but very good horror/thriller. Well paced, well acted especially the tween star and unnerving.<br />
<br />
8/10

yeah Orphan was quite a creepy film, but pretty good!! One in a similar vein, Case 39 (I think it is called, with Sandra Bullock) although supernatural<br />
<br />
I thought LAC was awesome, aside form the shitty end! <br />
<br />
Now I know that as a book, where the Wild Things are is much loved and revered (not a big fan myself) and having not read it for years, thought maybe I'd see if I liked it in film....still not a fan, pretty average.

Saw Inception last night and it really is a must see. It's a bit like the Matrix, but way better I reckon. Acting was good except for the girl from Juno who I thought was pretty average. Movie keeps you guessing all the way through and really is edge of the seat stuff. 9.5/10

I love Ghostbusters and now so do my kids. That movie just gets better with age.

He's right, they are trying to get the four of them together for another round. Bill Murray is usually the sticking point, but only cause he wants a good script which when you look at the shit Ackroyd has done over the years, if a fair point

"I'm Kick-Ass, and I'm not gay."<br />
<br />
Might have been my fave line of dialogue from Kick-Ass, which I finally saw last night (released onto DVD yesterday). <br />
<br />
I have a few quibbles with some of the soundtrack selection, and Nic Cage overdoes it in a few places, but overall I loved it, give it 9/10 and reckon it's one of the best comic-book adaptations ever put to screen. There was an authenticity, heart & sense of humour that surprised me.<br />
<br />
<br />
(Caution: as far as comicbook superhero movies go, this one is definitely NOT for the kids, it's made for adult audiences, with heaps of violence and sexual innuendo.)

Im sorry cd but old, greying and chain smoking Avatar version of Sigourney certainly doesn't float my boat. But each to their own...

In a welcome to last week moment, I just found out that the Nolan brothers have been given Superman to sort out. Jonathon is writing the screenplay and is rumored to direct, and Christopher is producing.<br />
<br />
Comments about how to approach it for a modern, post 9/11 world. Interesting. Those guys nailed Batman, and from their comments so far seem to understand the characters really well.

I talked to Ernie Hudson (the black GB) back in March at a Comic-Con, he was in his Ghost-Buster costume and he told me the cast was a done-deal - that Akroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray (and possibly even Sigourney) were excited about doing the movie, but he said (and Akroyd later confirmed on radio) that it is dependent upon a good script. Bill Murray is especially loathe to fart in a bag on this one, he wants a good movie. So as long as there's a good script in the works, it's looking good there'll be the long-awaited sequeal.

Great stuff, the sequel in '89 kinda sucked balls.<br />
<br />
Be great if they could improve vastly on that.<br />
<br />
Ernie Hudson was in another fav movie of mine, The Crow
