TBH not sure, but I believe so as I hadnt seen it before, but also based on the odd comment (and the look of the ex-players) it is pretty recent.

I saw a bit of it, it's a good watch. They're dissecting the key plays of the Pretoria game e.g. Preston's long range penalties and Zinny's droppie, in the same style as an ESPN doco on the 1981 SuperBowl (sans the dramatic music, and plus the humble players)

Not sure I could handle watching the entire tour after watching that doco...20 years later and it probably has more hold over me emotionally than it did at the time. Certainly the four year old from 1970 and the 10 year old from 76 feels a lot better now than they did back then

I feel the same about 2011 RWC final. Cannot rewatch.

2015 though, I could watch all day

Thinking about this, when was the last time that the ABs played a proper tour against one opponent? As far as I can tell, the most we play away from home is two tests (checking back to 2004). Would that 1996 tour have been the final three test series the ABs undertook against a single opponent away from home? If so, who knew we were watching history at the time.

I still remember winning that second game - was out in the middle of the night in Wellington, heading home euphoric in the middle of the night. Good times.

Really enjoyed that, more documentaries like that please Sky.

We really are spoiled as All Black fans. So many good moments to look back on.

I've just watched my recording of this doco. Really enjoyable and some great memories. I remember the Loftus test like it was yesterday as I watched the game live and was so pumped that I watched the replay straight afterwards. Osborne is a great storyteller.

Scott Bunce from North Otarbour. 😆
