Thoroughly reliant on Pitt and Clooney's charisma and could have been shit, but was actually very watchable.

Can’t stand Clooney but Brad is always outstanding, I’m on the fence about this one

I feel like I just watched @kruse going through the motions of writing a movie review.

I don't want to do it again.

You've seen it or you're speculating? I didn't think it was released until August in Oz?

I like the first one but remember it being overhyped with people saying it was more realistic than John Wick which left me flabbergasted especially considering Christopher Lloyd.

Ballerina: Speaking of John Wick. Girl John Wick with John Wick in a longer than cameo role. Preposterous, but fun if you like the Wick series. Ana De Arms doing a slightly more vicious turn as her character from James Bond.

Pure speculation. But I loved the first and the second looks to be the same, even if there's no surprise this time - just fun without taking itself seriously.

I feel like I just watched @kruse going through the motions of writing a movie review.

I don't want to do it again.

Started shit, I didn’t think it could get worse but then McCartney started singing about vegetarianism.

I found what looks to be a pretty accurate review online….

“One of the most pointedly stupid movies I've ever seen; not gross at all but inane, repetitive, and specific in a way which feels like a calculated prank to test people's patience and earn three dollars at the box office. I have only respect for the gumption to make something this dumb and get it released to the general public; not entirely my thing although I cried laughing when the full weight of the opening scene hit and I realized the register in which this operates... so take my take with a grain of salt. Might've hated the tone if I saw it in a worse mood but eventually it settles in like you've unlocked the key to an elaborate inside joke. A throwaway Dewey Cox bit maybe, tortured out to feature length by some infinitely patient juvenile jester: please, stop fighting here in this Scottish cottage.

Sky Elobar started his portion of the intro by sighing with resignation, pausing, then saying "it is what it is." It sure is dude.”

    This movie looks absolutely atrocious.

@MiketheSnow I want to you have a long hard think before you share anything again.

In preparation for the 19 June release of 28 Years Later I visited the cinema for the first time in ages to see 28 Days Later, followed by a discussion and Q&A from a couple of comedians and horror film makers here in Cardiff

    28 Days Later (2002) ⭐ 7.5 | Drama, Horror, Sci-Fi

    28 Days Later (2002) ⭐ 7.5 | Drama, Horror, Sci-Fi

    1h 53m | R

Hasn't aged a day and is still as impactful as when I first saw it on screen

Along with films like Snatch and First Blood it's one that I've watched more times than I can remember and one which I can't skip past if it's on TV

Way ahead of its time in terms of story and filming, almost prescient

London scenes were very POV and 'citizen journalism' esque

The drive to Manchester was eerily reminiscent of my drive from Scotland back home to mid-Wales on the M6 passing Manchester the day before the UK went in to Lockdown

Had forgotten that Naomie Harris' character Selena's weapon of choice was a sword

Blatant rip off from writers Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore to 'create' the character of Michonne for The Walking Dead - released a year later

Sat through the credits and found it interesting that the lab scene was filmed in Germany

The Nazis had done similar chemical interventions during the Second World War to increase stamina and 'rage' in their soldiers

If you don't want to sit through the movie, then this is a great summary

The soundtrack was brilliantly effective in the cinema though

Got home and immediately jumped in to the sequel 28 Weeks Later which I hadn't revisited until now and which I'd forgotten most of

    28 Weeks Later (2007) ⭐ 6.9 | Horror, Sci-Fi

    28 Weeks Later (2007) ⭐ 6.9 | Horror, Sci-Fi

    1h 39m | R

Not as good as 'Days' but still a very enjoyable watch

Here's the recap from the same guy

    28 Day Later
4.5 Hellos out of 5 Hellos

    28 Weeks later
3.5 runaways out of 5 run aways

Based on the trailer, 28 Years Later looks to be a return to form and one which should be seen on the big screen

There's lots in the trailer. Avoid if you want to go in blind

@MiketheSnow Yep re-watch on the cards in my household too before the new one. Hoping the 2nd one is better than I remember, had ridiculous high expectations when I saw it first

I missed watching 28 days later at the movies for a ridiculous reason. My flat mates at Uni were all going and asked me if I wanted to come.
    "What movie is it again?"
    "28 days later"
"pfffff...nah I'm alright", (under my breath: "gaaaaay!")

After your appalling McCartney/Wonder post you could not have redeemed yourself anymore than this. Brilliant.

The 28 movies are the absolute yardstick for great zombie movies. I’m beyond excited for the latest one !

I've got nothing to watch at the cinema this week, so might have to watch 28 Days and 28 Days Later so I can watch the latest one.

The problem being The Walking Dead has put me off zombie style movies (I can't even bring myself to watch The Last of Us). Otherwise I might have to watch the latest Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal rom-com. I quite like Dakota Johnson but the movie looks terrible.
