Reverse of what I thought might happen for the Chiefs - our forwards have mostly fronted. Our backs a relatively mixed bag.

13-12 to Crusaders at the break. Super close as I thought it would be.

Tamaiti not showing signs of the injury bothering him. Huge half.

The Chiefs cannot let the Crusaders score first in the second.

Chiefs attack has been very narrow. Not sure if Rona or Carter have even touched the ball. Their D is still very active led by QT and Vaa’i.

Saders attack a little up and down. Few boys need to change their boots and get the longer studs on. Defensive pattern in phase play is good except when the Chiefs are on their line.

I have hope for the Chiefs as we have looked comfortable in the trenches and the pick and goes.

Gardner finally figured out what was going on in the scrums. Yay. Bullshit call on Barrett being tackled away from the ruck, that created a hole. Try shouldn’t have stood. Chiefs hanging in there, Can the Saders hold them in the third qtr.

Of all of McKenzie's shockers in a critical game at the highest level, this is far from the worst so far.

Chiefs backline is too flat and hasn't adjusted for the Crusaders' line speed, which has meant McKenzie hasn't had much time on the ball. Will be interesting to see if the Chiefs adjust their depth in the second half to account for it.

Narawa and Reece both making big contributions to their teams in different ways.

Saders kicking game better than the Chiefs. Scrums have been 50/50 for both with multiple penalties against both teams.

Not too many lineouts so far.
