Thanks Stargazer, that's excellent. If the status quo doesn't change it looks like that is the option for those based in Aus.

Apparently, it's a mess everywhere. My friends in France are complaining that some games are broadcasted by BeIN France, some via L'Equipe, and again other games by other channels. All to be paid for, obviously.

Personally I "move" to Asia and use rugbypass it's excellent, including full replays.

there is the chance foxtel may cough up and secure the games

How much is a subscription to rugby pass? Do you need an Asian address?

You need an Asian IP address but not an Asian mailing address. From memory it's US$10/month (off the top of my head). They have rugby from all round the world. It's one of those systems where you have match commentary but no half-time analysis. For the replays you can watch the whole game or a condensed highlights package. I prefer to pay for rugbypass rather than dodgy poor quality unreliable streams.

Foxtel says 6am kickoff. But not sure if that's Sydney or Brisbane time.

Yeah I'm usually pretty happy with Sky (UK) but that sounds a lot cheaper actually, as well as perhaps more convenient. Cheers

I used the Sky Sports mobile TV app for a while, but it became unreliable, is only rugby shown on main sky, nothing on the red channels, and you can't export it to tv screen.

With rugbypass I load up on the ipad or iphone and then use HDMI cable to TV.

I have crap broadband width (4MB), it would definitely be better with at least 8MB. I missed the 100MB we had in Dublin..

Bugger, I'm supposed to attempt to play golf at 6:45. I hate following live updates on phone.

It looks like rugbypass has a one week free trial - and it appears to work with Hola.

    So I'll be signing up!

    Cheers @Billy-Tell

Be careful with their cancellation policy.

    http://docs.rugbypass.com/terms/

A monthly subscription is prepaid (in advance) and valid for 30 days upon each renewal. The term begins when you first subscribe and will continue until you cancel the service (that is, it automatically renews on each 30 day cycle unless cancelled).

To cancel your monthly subscription, contact our customer support at help@rugbypass.com. Cancellation will become effective as of the monthly billing cycle following the month of receipt of your cancellation.

@Nepia skygo nz works with hola too mate - just hit some whanau up for their password and away you go.

as long as skygo works of course, which is hardly guaranteed.

Sorry dude? What do you mean by "Foxtel says 6am"? i.e., In what context? Have they announced they have it and are going to show it ? Or did they just mention the kick off time somewhere.

FYI - I got a tweet back from foxtel this morning saying they didn't have the rights. And an email back from the same bloke that answered dK (I think) - Charlie from BeIN Sports as follows:

    Thanks for your email.

Unfortunately at this stage, we only have the game for Wales v Wallabies confirmed to be shown live at 1:30 AM, on this coming Sunday morning. (Saturday Night)
For more information about our coverage, please visit our TV Guide.
Please stay tuned for future updates.

    Kind Regards,

    Charlie
