    @ACT-Crusader did they win?

Yep. But it was against Philly. That's Ben Simmons-less Philly too

Steven Adams has reportedly signed a 4 year $100M USD contract to stay with OKC starting next season. Talk about showing him the money

    decent pay rise!

That is a staggering amount of money really, just mind boggling - almost $500k per week.

Love this reaction from Balmer to a thunderous Westbrook dunk. He may own the Clippers but he's also a big ball fan clearly

It's a great start to the season with a number of games with playoff like atmosphere to them.

Yesterday's OKC v Clippers wasn't one of those games with both sides turning the ball over frequently but it was nice and close throughout with a million lead changes and CP3 and Westbrook getting into a good ol' shootout.

However the Celtics v Bulls was one and both these sides had key guys out but was high quality. I've never been a fan of D Wade, but Inlike what I've seen so far. Lopez and Gibson are an excellent frontcourt duo. There's a solid supporting cast there.

Things look good so far for Boston with a much greater balance. Let's hope it continues.

Draymond Green gets a flagrant foul for kicking James Harden while shooting the ball. About time, the guy is ridiculous

That could never have been mate. OKC got that 12(adams) draft pick because of the Harden trade.

Westbrook cost OKC the game. He didn't relax until he got his last stat in the 7th triple double. Which to me means hes not playing for the team right now. And when he relaxed he took stupid fucken shots instead of being patient and rotating the ball to find a better shot.

Westbrook is a point guard. Traditionally when a point takes a shot and it misses he should head down court to start the defense. But he follows his shot and often he costs them possession contesting rebounds with his own players. Let your $100m centre take care of that shit man. Hes out for the stats.

Adams may not be as good in an open game but Kanter leaked points in the paint with Adams off. Donovan has a habit of making subs based purely on defensive match ups without looking at the flow of the game. He benched his best scorer tonight for most of the 2nd half. Adams was on fire and almost had a first half dubdub. It was weak sauce from both the coach and his star player.

It's been a surprisingly interesting season so far I reckon.

Sure, a Warriors/Cavs finals series is almost inevitable, but there are plenty of fascinating little sub-plots happening in the chasing pack.

Things I am interested in (in no particular order) are:

    • The Wolves inexplicable failure
    • The Greek Freak becoming even freakier
    • Do the Clips keep ploughing on, or do they finally make a trade?
    • The Knicks and Bulls being sort of decent
    • Patty Mills having a career year off the bench for the Spurs
    • The Lakers being legitimate play-off contenders
    • Westbrook and Harden and the race for the MVP
    • Utah pushing for a high playoff berth in the West

The Warriors are still the most interesting team to watch IMO, but there is so much else happening.

The Spurs retired Tim Duncan's number tonight after they beat the Pelicans. What a complete champ.

ESPN currently calculate the odds of the Warriors winning the title at 75%

Hard to see that being inaccurate.

@mariner4life GSW were heavy favourites to win last year too and that went well. There are no guarantees in sport.
