@taniwharugby I don't know. Probably other journalists and they wonder why they are below politicians in the most trusted occupations.

It's a bloody disgrace to have that Reason decision associated with TP McClean's legacy. He was a writer and informer, Reason is nothing but a smug shit stirrer

Reason took time out of his busy schedule of writing inflammatory bullshit about sport to have a go at the police presense at toast martinborough a few weeks back. The rationale behind his argument was they....get this.....didn't smile and weren't approachable.

I wish they fucken tased him and beat him with batons.

Saw this on the herald. Have to say, I totally agree with Brownlee. I'm sure the situation he has to manage here is huge, with thousands of ever moving parts. So to have people say that they are doing nothing, is frankly, quite shit.

TBF, TP was a class shit stirrer as well - he was also a bloody good journalist though unlike Reason Jnr.

We are going to read this as a family tonight and talk about it afterwards . There'll be a few tears and some laughter but I think an issue this important really should be a time to get a gauge on where we are all at with it .

@taniwharugby the article says we got almost $4 back into our economy for every $1 we put into the hunger games film.

I know it's Whaleoil but John Campbell really is a lying piston wristed gibbon. What's the bet we paid for the Parker fight on her hotel bill ?

Edit a quick search reveals her and her husband Rastaman have an aversion to paying rent and armed men randomly show up at their flat.

    Stuff

Slater's post says their facebook posts show them hanging out with Black Power associates. Pfft, what a second rate gang. They're not even tough enough to associate with the Mongies. But they're undergdogs in the gang world, even more reason for Campbell to give them a reacharound.

"largely received work in the realm of post visual and digital effects or animation work"

So they gave $8m to 5 guys who own a post production company air brushing Jlaws arse frame by frame. And got a $2m tax credit

Thats fucking awesome for the 500 hugely well paid animators at Weta its not neccesarily great for the NZ economy. Its basically a massive subsidy to a tiny sector of NZ employing very few people, who are already paid WAY over the NZ average because their skills are hughely transferable & with the profits going to, literally, a handfull of people. None of those folks are unemployed if you scrap that subsidy, they'd just get poached by ILM & move to LA

Lord of the Rings cash flowed to the NZ economy, cash on doing the visual effects on Ted did not. Unless you own the Porche dealership next to Peter Jacksons house. They should just rename it "Weta kickback fund"

Jeez it gets hard to keep up with what sort of technologies and industries NZ is allowed to be involved in.
Seems like just last week we had some Green fucktard telling us how NZ doesn't support the arts enough... now apparently we support them to much.

@Baron-Silas-Greenback Investing in things that are popular doesn't count Baron. I thought you would know that. We should be giving money to an artists collective who want to hum Desiderata backwards while constructing a giant vagina out of PET milk bottles
