That guy on Mana esplanade does a pretty mean kebab too if you're ever in the neighbourhood.
I'll vouch for that. Fucken massive babs too which are always good. They're a fluffybunny to eat in the car though.

When I'm in Wellies and I've been on the piss there is nothing quite like the Chicken palace?J&M fast food on Courtney Place. Wouldn't set foot in there sober but early in the morning there is nothing like J&M grease running down your forearms "NO DRUMS NO WINGS!!"

J & M's.....proof that there really is no God. It makes KFC look like Vegan food.
Like ugly women it relies on copious amounts of alcohol to get any love.

Does anyone remember a dive on Courtney place in the 90s called the diner? It was always the last place open for food if you didn't want Georgie pie or Maccas. The guy who used get really drunk on air while djing piratefm would come in there sometimes, one time there was a junkie passed out in the toilet with a needle still stuck in his arm.

Abrakebabra still do pretty decent kebab burgers. All the staff have hairy arms and moustaches too, even the women.
Thats my rule to judge how good a kebab place will be - the hairier the arms, the better the kebabs

Worst thing about KFC in the states when we were in Hawaii in 2014 - no chips. Instead, there was a ''biscuit'' which was actually a really shitty scone.
You cannot be serious!
@Smudge @Baron-Silas-Greenback yep. Had those way back in '91. Horrible

Biscuits and gravy are a big thing in the US. I was very surprised when someone ordered one for me and a scone arrived.
I forgot about Denver burgers at Beefeaters in my uni days. They were tasty back then!
The Mrs makes biscuits and Gravy quite regularly for a Sunday morning breakfast. They are a lot yummier than I thought they'd be.

@mariner4life Best I had was in Bulls...Go figure. Best Iskender I've had was at a place in Welly that used to be on Dixon Street just off Vivian. Anyone know if it's still there?
There is a joint called Sahara at the local shops - their main site is in Parramatta which has a strong Turkish and MidEast population. Their Iskender Kebabi is so fucking good, you'll eat until you're sick!

Sure, but sometimes I like the blokes to make it.

@Nepia I had Popeyes in Singapore and it was great. The biscuit had a weird sweet glaze on top, I didn't care for it much
My first experience with Popeyes was in Singapore, and I only went in to use the wifi so I could follow the live feed of the Magpies v Otago RS match - the one that we won. I was dancing a jig while eating my chicken, gravy and biscuits.
