We've at least got it well into the territory of 'runs on the board'

Can't see Southee scoring runs against quality fast bowling.

Broom just survives and gets six instead of out.

    Santner not so lucky.

247/7 - still nearly five overs to go.

Yep, we have 'something to bowl at' so to speak.

Stink that one of Guppy or Neesh couldn't go on.

Handscomb bats wonderfully and keeps terribly.

A good call to have stuck with the Santner/Southee batting order.

Southee you fucking dumb fuckstick. All you had to do was stay around for a few overs.

Broom the batting saviour. What a summer and comeback for him so far.

Some of it deserves to be fair.

Santner wasn't much better. Stupid, stupid decision making. If we don't bat out our overs, will be a crime.

Broom playing very well. Good on him, giving us a chance.

The sourness and bitterness that goes with supporting the Caps. Or maybe that goes with being a regular on here 🙂

... and can we have Broom in the test side instead of the ever scratchy Nicholls?

[/clutching at straws. New great hope]

All hail the New Broom. 73(75).

    Runs on the board.

Clearly next game Boult should be batting above Santner (maybe even Munroe)

We'll end up 50-60 short of a really good total.

But better than it was looking for awhile....

Australia bat deep but don't have any world class batsmen in their team. I think we have a decent chance of defending that score.

@hydro11 Loving your optimism. If Trent bowls like he batted, who knows?

Nice cameo at the end by Boult. Least that is a half decent total to bowl at. But we'll need to bowl tightly and take the catches first time.
